How do I get into Mike Tyson speed mode guys?
Unleash your power and shadow box against your inner demons.
You don't, not above light-middleweight anyways.
Tyson in his prime was a monster.
If he could have stayed away from the drugs, partying, hoes, and all the other distractions he could have easily been undisputed GOAT.
You might as well ask how you can get Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretsky mode.
Some athletes are just superior and he had one of the greatest trainers of all time.
That's probably some part insane genetics.
Still, you want to develop power.
Do plyometrics (clapping push ups, for example).
Work the speed bag.
In the weightroom, I am not sure what to do for that sort of speed. I would guess Benching with a specifc rhythm, so that you are absolutely exploding on the concentric part of the lift. Maybe at 55-60% of 1RM.
Hard for me to give advice for good training, as I only box for shits and gigs with my friends. The people I know that box seriously do not seem to do a lot of weight training.
Indeed. Hard hits has nothing to do with your forearms. It has everything to do with how heavy your hands are.
>Tyson in his prime couldn't even touch Mayweather.
>idiots praise this violent hand swinging retard because he got knockouts
Lots of good repetition with actively trying to get faster with good form. Anyone who says it's genetics has never picked up a musical instrument and taken it to a halfway decent level, it's p much the same principle.
Your capacity to output power is partially genetic. No one said he couldn't train.
I'm not going to beat Usain Bolt's 100m time even if I go back in time and set myself up for a lifetime of 100m training.
If you train really hard and smart, someday you'll reach your genetic potential (natty or not). Some people's genetic potential in certain sports in just higher than others. Most likely, yours is not as high as Tysons.
Yes. Ronda Rousey here displays better boxing technique than Mike Tyson.
What a joke.
>What are heavy hands
Marciano or foreman are the canonical heavy hitters. it means your punch looks like everyone else's but it feels like a truck hitting you. Foreman was a terrifying boxer you can watch matches where pros flinch away from him and they expect to get hit. That was why the Ali bout was so legendary, he should have been dead from that beating.
>What if I train really, really hard?
no. you need to be genetically gifted to be on this level.
He's fast as lightning
but speed wan't tyson's advantage. he won becuase he was MEAN. he fought just plain furious, straight up psychotic violence. He didn't dominate in skill of athleticism but through sheer rage. He's the Hulk of boxing.
sort of right. tyson got beat by a man who approached boxing as a science and studied his opponent and could fight with God-tier autism as well as being a gifted fighter. but Tyson would have eaten Mayfeatherbed alive, because he's a pussy at heart.
Apart from heavy hands what are some examples of good and bad genetics in boxing.
Iirc there was something wrong with Muhammad Ali'd foot and the way his arm snapped, yet he still became on the GOAT.
It's cos he doesn't need to use his left desu. One hit K.O FTW.
>gohan always hinted at being a bad ass
>future gohan is the biggest bad ass in the series
>trains with piccolo
>trains with goku in the time chamber
>is a total bad ass
>regressed after because he was a lazy fuck
>mystic gohan sheds hope
>nope, ultimate jobber, apparently can hardly go ssj1 anymore
Still shitty about that fuck goku
Vitali and Wladimier
They just keep jabbing with the left poking wearing you down because anytime you drop guard you take a massive hit across the face. they have changed how boxing matches are fought, people hate them because its "boring" and "methodically" since all matches are pretty much the same and it just wears down the opponent.
prime iron mike would get buttfucked by prime ali
it's a damn shame that virtually all of ali's memorable fights were fought after his hiatus when he started in with that rope-a-dope bullshit and just let people beat the fuck out of him. 60s ali was untouchable.
He was already early onset at that point. He had three great fights in him and after that he was a world class tomatocan. That's the real tradegy, that a talent like that went so early
Virtually every (professinal) boxer you know of has amazing genetics, considering you're asking these questions. The only one I can think of who debatedly has bad genetics is Chris Arreola, due to him being a lard ass.
Vitali could have never beaten Tyson; his fame is a meme and only due to his more skilled brother (unless you think he would've beat Lennox, if not for the stoppage). Wladimir could've beaten post-jail Tyson a few years ago in a hypothetical fight. Also, are you Ukrainian or German?
you don't. you can train all your life and you'll never have his speed. it's all genetics. don't get me wrong, tyson worked hard to get where he was, but his build and his speed and combination power are genetics. he has insane genetics. he was benching 200 pounds at age 13 and knocking people into seizures. fuck that.
To get faster hands, you throw more punches each training day. Literally none of you know a thing about the sweet science. You threw 300 punches on the heavy bag? Throw 500. Just keep it going
Mike did struggle against patient opponents with a significantly longer jab reach, such as Lennox Lewis.
Klitchko would give him a good fight for sure unless Mike pulled some blitzkrieg tactics from his early days.
Are you two fucking retarded? If they were in the same weight class maybe, sure, but Tyson was a FUCKING HEAVYWEIGHT, Mayweather fights at welterweight, and thats actually pretty far above his natural weight. Floyd would've gotten fucked, until he loved him.
>Falling for 30 year old marketing
Tyson was not some beast by nature. His genetics were his weakest point by far. He got gassed fast, he was small, had shitty reach. He won when he did because of hard work, dedication, skills, and intelligence. It's when he started believe what people said about him, relying on physicality, that he started losing-especially after losing to Holyfield, which really broke him.
Jesus Wladimir would end up without his organs after 5th Tyson knew how to cut the distance. Vitalik is another story, that guy was a brawler and that would be a fight to remember.
