if you are doing low reps in the range of 3 to around 7 you will be doing strength training where you will be getting stronger and be able to lift heavy, but if you want more mass (look bigger) you will need to lower the weight and do a rep range from around 10 - 16
Rep range doesn't matter for mass. It's all about volume. However it is much easier and reasonable to get high volume at 12 reps than 3 reps. Getting stronger will make you bigger obviously, but if you do exclusively strength training you will probably be small for your strength levels when compared to a bodybuilder and vice versa.

I mean not exactly DYEL, but nobody ever expects me to be as strong as I actually am. My body type is quite deceptive, as for a long time I exclusively trained for strength.
As of this moment I'm doing a lot of heavier reps with lower weight and in the past month I've noticed my fucking muscles explode with size.
I think there's truth to both sides, but you can't just get lift for strength and stay DYEL, nor can you focus on building muscle size and remain totally weak.

DL I have no idea , I only lift from blocks because 100% of the time my back will round if I do it from the floor. I pull lmao6plate from blocks but it's leaps and bounds easier than an actual deadlift.

I saw a really skinny dude benching like 275lbs for reps. Not saying that it's an impressive weight, but for his bodyweight it looked hardcore. He didn't even look close to ottermode
I've been doing the same, and idk what to do now.
It sucks, cause I want strength really bad, but I also want to look as aesthetic as possible. I want to reach my limit in both strength and aesthetics, but to be honest if I at least have impressive stats, I would side more with aesthetics. Is this thread saying I can't have both?
