Try pushing through your heels
>>
Probably not dropping your hips to remove slack in the bar and begin the movement. That being said high hips with flat back is acceptable, it's all about what fits your measurements.
>>
Concisely, use your legs more.
>no shit!

Specifically, do more of a squatting motion when you pick up and lift the bar.

Seek to 20 seconds and note what his legs are doing.

Imagine your hips going down and the weight pushing down into your heels as you pull into straight.

And of course, keep your back straight.

why is she doing that to her tongue?

It may or may not indicate you're doing something wrong. Maybe you just have over-developed legs & under-developed upper body. Are you a SS victim by any chance?
>>

What do you mean by victim? Is SS a bad thing?
>>
I have the opposite problem. I feel like I need to initiate the movement with my legs before my back can pull.

I'm not full on squatting the deadlift, but my knees start opening before my hips, and I have high hips when my back starts pulling.

What do?

Are you a 90lb middle-schooler trying out for JV football?

Having a little trouble picturing what you're talking about, but your back should stay at its starting angle until you get the bar to about knee height, then you start hip extension.

There's nothing wrong with SS faget

try doing some shorter sprints, uphill if possible before your workout. helps to wake up the glutes. i've done it a few times and you can definitely notice the difference. i'm sure there are other exercises to prime the glutes for action, no homer
