I get my milk raw from a local dairy. All the cows are grass fed Jerseys that are treated well, so I can at least pretend that it's better than industrially produced milk. Pic related is one of their cows and her calf.

Everyone that works at the dairy claims that raw milk has all kinds of health benefits that aren't in store bought milk. Not sure if I buy that, but I'll be damned if it isn't the best milk I've ever had. Couple scoops of protein in it makes for a great post-workout drink.

It's definitely thicker, and since it's not homogenized the cream will separate from the rest of the milk and it needs to be shaken before pouring.

It's expensive though, like $10 per gallon. Luckily I have a good job and only buy it for myself.

Liquids digest easier than solids, and milk has a good bit of proteins and fats. The biggest benefit of milk is that it's cheaper than protein powder/shakes and it's already premixed. The chocolate powder doesn't do shit except add sugar and make it taste like candy.
