My ass is literally touching my calves when I squat. There are like 5cm between my ass and the floor. So yes, I go way down.
I also do mobility work on off days to get that kind of flexibility.
But I said, thats me. I dont expect everyone to squat that deep. It just feels more natural for me doing it that way.

Yeah im unsure what position is most stable and end up shuffling about a lot during my sets to get into a better position. I have really weird proportions for squatting and feel way more stable with my feet pointed out like crazy. I try not to do actually do it because it leads to my knees collapsing in slightly if i do.
Its a bad habit but its hard as fuck to get out of for me.
