>Learn to play an instrument (imagine having 10 years experience playing the piano when you're 30)

I've played guitar for 7 years now and am pretty proficient (I can play most solos and riffs without a lot of effort, can improvise, etc.) so I'll offer some advice on learning guitar and instruments in general.

>Guitar

>Technique
For the first 1-2 years you'll be pretty shitty. Your fretting hand will often go on the wrong strings and your picking hand may miss strings entirely. This is normal.

1. When you're watching a movie or television, bring your guitar! Slowly pluck frets 1-2-3-4. If you can do this for several hours a week whilst watching movies, your technique will improve much more quickly.

2. How to play fast? Use a metronome and play slow. Slow whatever riff you want to learn and spend 5-10 minutes playing it slowly. Gradually bump up the metronome until you reach the point where it's difficult, yet you can almost play it. This is your 1rm. Drop slightly (5-10bpm) below this point and work on the riff then.

>Rock Music
Learn barre chords, pentatonic scales, and solos. As you learn each of this, try to come up with something new/different ways of playing it. When you learn solos, learn to SING them! If you can't sing the whole solo, you have not learned it. You have only memorized frets on a guitar. Good musicians can play solos on any instrument once they figure out how far apart the notes are.

there's a lot more to go into, but this is fine for now
>>
>>28303926
>Finger size
Your fingers are not too small
Your fingers are not too big
I've met good players with both. Stop complaining.

>tl;dr How do I get good?
Do you want to become a great guitarist (or musician)? Do you want to be the type of guy who can play along with any song? Do you want to be able to walk into a jam session and play without asking for chords?

Read the Music Lesson by Victor Wooten and follow his philosophy for learning. Learning by ear is tough, but the hard way is the easy.
>>
>>28303970
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yRMbH36HRE
to offer a bit of Victor Wooten's philosophy:

>Music is a language
When you're learning a song, you are learning a language. Understand what this entails. If you memorize the notes, chords, and solos of a song, but cannot hear or sing it, you have not learned the song. This is similar to memorizing phrases in french and saying that you have learned french.

Learning songs is a long process. It gets faster though.
1. Can you sing the melody and harmony?
2. Can you sing the solos?
3. Can you play the song in different keys, different positions, etc.?
4. Can you play the song in a different order?

Once you've learned it, you've got to apply what you've learned.
1. Take the solo you've learned and change it.
2. What techniques does the artist use? Change these and try them in different situations

>Run every other day (while recovering from injury then every day)
>Eat 1000kcal a day of food I prepare
>Keto @ <20g carbs / day
>SL 3 times a week; taking creatine before workout

Lifting is just meant to stave off muscle loss rather than to build it

>Study 7 hours a day
>Wake up at 5:30
>Foam Roll
>Stretch
>Take a cold shower every morning after run
>Go for a walk later in the day

Sorry I'm just writing this shit down for my own benefit.

I'm going back to school Monday so I always do self improvement stuff around this time.
>go to bed at 11:00, get up at 7:00 to run every day
>shower and brush teeth every day (it gets away from me in the summer), dress nicer
>get to school an hour early to study
>read the news; I read all articles that are related to my field or may come up in a conversation
>on weekdays I have 2 hours before bed to relax, all other hours are spent studying or working out
>go out of my way to socialize on Friday and Saturday nights, don't expect something to find you
>volunteer on Saturdays, get any non-school work/shopping done
>go to church on Sunday (haven't gone in years and I'm kind of embarrassed to go back for some reason), relax for the rest of the day
>no masturbation, cut bad habits like biting nails and picking nose
>cut sugar from the diet, cook more meals
>make an effort to keep old friendships (I picked only 4 people from high school I truly want to stay in touch with)

o yea my contribution to this thread is to take advantage of your mentality.

In 99% of cases, your mentality is what limits you whether it's talking to girls, getting in a few reps, getting through a tough day at work etc.
If you learn how to alter your own mood and mentality going into something then you'll find everything not only easier but more effective.
>>
>>28304562
If you are a student then your school can hook you up with one for free or something something. Ask around.

Thats a heavy routine btw. Don't burn your self out.

Yeah an abstinence troll deserves its own general.
>>
>>28306095
well the idea of nofap is that you refrain from fapping all the time so you don't walk around like a dried up beta fuck all the time, not to advocate abstinence.

If anything fapping every day or more is a more effective way of abstinence

How to start? Here’s the action list …

At the bare minimum, do this:

1. Get rid of everything that doesn’t support your journey to enlightenment. Ditch your loser friends. Completely stop consuming TV and video games.

2. Strive to exercise 4 times a week (ideally, lifting weights)

3. Read a book for 1 hour every day.

4. Meditate for 20 minutes every day.

5. Get your finance in order (save and invest your money)

Level 2:

6. Work harder at your career (upgrade your skills, take more relevant courses) or start a side business.

7. Have interesting (and productive) hobbies – martial arts, picking up women, traveling, survival skills.

Depending on your teacher, lessons can lead to the greatest improvement. My guitar teacher is a 30 year old Ukrainian man. He has wonderful ears and can play any song instantly. This sounds unbelievable, but it's true. In my beginner days I would come into a lesson, show him a solo like Sweet Child of Mine or Cliffs of Dover, and he'd know how to play it instantly. Suffice to say he's cool dude. Not only a good player, but a good teacher. Find teachers in your area, have a trial lesson, and find a teacher that you think is personable and skilled. Teachers are definitely worth it.

the logic behind not wearing band shirts?
there's nothing inherently wrong with them, but they're graphic t's which tend to be tacky and look juvenile

granted, the same can be said of going the opposite direction. if you walk around in poorly fitted #menswear you'll look at least as bad as a doofus in a band shirt

think about it like lifting: try to keep it simple. an over designed/over branded graphic t is like a bro split with a dozen different isolation exercises everyday of the week. a simple Oxford shirt in a neutral tone is like ss
>>
>>28307123
also, it greatly depends on the shirt. /fa/ has band shirt threads on ocassion and they're full of simple, aesthetic shirts which can definitely be worn without looking like a loser

im a self taught drummer, just play along to songs you enjoy and over time you will improve and eventually you will come up with your own play style and implement that into playing those songs to make them "your own". sit on your throne and just start playing a pattern you think is cool and build it off from that, expand it and create different combinations for cymbals, toms, kick, snare, etc
as with everything proficiency comes with time.
>>
>>28307164

>>28313514

also go to concerts or watch videos of drummers you like and study the way they play or move, this is another way to learn. you dont have to play exactly what they play but you will have an idea of how to play

>>
Aside from lifting in the past year and a half I got a girlfriend and have formed a very solid relationship with her.

I've gone to therapy and made huge strides in overcoming my anxiety and self worth issues as well as addressing understanding why I am the way I am and that some of my habbits aren't healthy. I now let myself get angry and voice my opinion instead of just shouldering everything like it's my responsibility to deal with all issues.

I've started eating way healthier and doing far more cardio, I see a chiropractor which I feel has helped my general mental clarity and overall makes me feel better overall, less tired, less anxiety, less headaches.

I've been taking classes so I can go back to school for something that will actually get me a job.
>>
>>28313883
My only remaining issue that I would like to ask some advice on is this.

The girl I am with is amazing in so many ways. But I've noticed her hair has started thinning. It was super thick when we met, but in the past 5 months its really started to thin. And I'm a worry wart and now all I can think about is how to fix it, if it will get worse, how she will look if it gets worse, if I'll still be attracted to her, how I shouldn't let this get in the way of my relationship with her, and tons and tons of crap.

Thing is, hair thinning aside she's way more attractive than I, out of my league for sure. I really just want it to stop.

What would you guys do? Am I a bad person for letting something superficial that she can't even control make me question the future of our relationship, even when as a person she's fucking amazing? I just want her to keep being hot, it's kinda great being with someone out of your league and I don't want her to get that sickly balding look you see some girls have, hair is a big thing for me.

I was referring to the feminine handwriting-style font used for the headers rather than the general concept of cleaning. It's not a font choice that a man would typically make.

Depends whether it's a problem because you won't find her as attractive with less hair, or because of what others will think (you mentioned "it's great being with someone out of your league" which makes it sound like you're worried about other people judging you for being with a girl with thin hair).

>>28314491
Thanks but I feel pretty good already.

>>28314506
Cleaning isn't effeminate. Cleaning on behalf of others for no money is effeminate, but not cleaning in general. But that font... even if the person who chose it is a girl, it looks totally out-of-place. Schedules should use conservative fonts and handwriting-style fonts just shouldn't be used at all. The other font in use is pretty hipster and stupid as well, looks like Helvetica or something in that family.

>>
>>28314554
It's probably a bit of both. I am overly concerned of other people's judgment. But I can safely say its mostly because i'm worried how this will hurt my level of attraction to her. Like I said hair is a big thing for me. A girl having thick hair is a huge turn on for me. I already find myself unable to stop looking at her hair part and noticing how its thinner than it was a few months ago.

But I also feel like shit because I'm balding and she doesn't give a fuck. But I mean a guy balding is normal, a girl...not so much.

I think the solution to burnout though isn't what the usual motivation threads and shit like that
>Just work through the pain bro were all gonna make it
I think what you need to do is accept that there will always be pain and the real question that needs to be answered is whether or not what you are suffering for is worth it. What that means though is that you need to take responsibility for what you do
>>
>>28314938
You could try telling her that her thinning hair is causing her to become less attractive to you. Communication is really important in a relationship so you should keep her informed of how you feel. If you are losing part of your identity because the woman you are with looks different now than when you first met then you are going to have problems throughout your life.

You also shouldn't care what other people think because you can't effectively control what other people think, you can only control how you feel about things.

I've been improving a lot over the last 6 months.
I'm more active, I'm stronger, I'm starting to look better (cut off my gross long greasy metal hair, no more acne, way better personal hygiene, always fresh).

The problem is I was lazy my whole life. Because of this my teeth are fucked.
What do I do to fix this shit? I'm 20. Is it too late for braces? I brush and floss and mothwash 2x a day but I fear the damage has been done.
>>
>>28324677

only 20 and doing all that shit? nice work.

yeah go to the dentist and get him to sort you out, your teeth dont look that bad tho
>>
You guys use any apps to help keep habits? I've been using one that has a calender to track your success, like a don't break the chain thing. But it also allows you to set alarms or silent reminders for any time any number of times per day. It's pretty neat. It makes me feel like shit if I buy fast food because then I have to miss a link and my calander looks like shit.
>>
>>28324677
>cut off my gross long greasy metal hair
Dude, just fucking wash it. That said, I'd love to say I have amazing long metal hair but alas, its been thinning slowly for the last 5 years, I'm getting to the point where I'm just going to have to shave it. It was nice while it lasted, I just wish I ignored my ex and got dreads

> Is it too late for braces
Its not, it might look unusual for your age while they're on but the results will be worth it. Nice going on all your progress so far too dude, keep it up
>>
>>28324741
Meh, they aren't too yellow or anything but it feels like some of them or just fucking shaped wrong. My top row has those weird half vampire teeth shit but they are crooked and the bottom row isn't symmetrical.

I work a factory job, making $15/hour, which is good for my area, but I don't think the dental I have would cover superficial stuff like that.

I will go though. I want to be the best me I can be after all.

This probably isn't the thread to post in, but it's the closest I can think of outside of making a thread on /b/, which isn't going to happen.

So i'm a 21y/o non-kissless virgin. However, I'm a virgin still because when I was in high school I had a dream of religious significance. I won't go into details about the dream, but because of it I refuse to have sex outside of marriage.

On a personal note, it makes me miserable. I've had a girl literally naked on top of me on my couch wanting to ride me, and I had to send her home before I let her (She was really pretty and I had known her for a while.) Needless to say, she doesn't speak to me anymore.

I have somewhat high standards (No fatshits and you have to be at least a little bit interesting, so many girls don't do anything at all and they aren't really attractive to me.) I'm not saying you have to be a 10/10 model that goes horseback riding and kayaking for me to like you, but you can't be a 500 lb hamplanet who sits at home on /soc/ either.

I was wondering if /fit/ knew if there was a way I could get a girlfriend without it leading to me having to break it up in order to keep my promise to God? It really breaks my heart to have to send a girl home just because she wanted to fuck me and I just can't do it, it makes me feel like i'm not even a man.
>>
>>28324967

Did you make a type? Was 21y/o supposed to be 12?
>>
>>28325010

Sorry what I meant was, you're 21, you should be old enough to figure your own life out. You made a choice on how you want to live your life, some people will like it and some won't. Don't complain that the majority of girls don't want to wait for marriage when you're the one who put that restriction up. Live with it or change it, just don't sit around acting confused like "why is this happening?!?!"
>>
>>28324967
Find a vagina that believes the same tripe you believe in. Pretty sure you have gatho's for that stuff.
Also, that picture is a heap of shit.
>>
>>28324967
I'm going to keep my opinions of you to myself.

However, if you are truly devoted to this religious thing, shouldn't you get happiness out of being true to your word to god? Shouldn't physical attraction take a backseat to what is surely more important to you?

If you ever come to your senses, fuck a girl.
You need to develop your sexual experiences if you ever want to be happy with another person, unless you magically find someone as loony as you.
>>
>>28325053

Doing manly things makes you manly.

Think about it like this, if you don't run, you aren't a runner. If you keep running you will be able to run, and eventually consider yourself a runner.

Eventually, if you keep working with your hands, getting strong, and doing alpha things/being confident, that's just how you will be.

>>
>>28325351
>strong, fast
Lift, Plyo
>deadly
Really doubt deadliness makes you more of a real man. There's too much ambiguity around peace and 'being the bigger man' which excludes it.

As for the rest, it's just about exposing yourself to all stimuli. Showering cold, doing 30+ rep sets, walking out in the rain without fear of how you'll look, not being afraid to get into confrontation, etc. All stimuli in the world which challenge you will push you towards it. If you wake up in the morning and remind yourself of your intention to fear nothing and follow through with it in what you expose yourself to, you will fear nothing.
>>
Just throwing this out there as somebody that's tried self-development a million times and thinks he's found the answer: You're all going about it the wrong way. Hoarding resources, trying compulsively to become 'better', trying to commit to things that somebody else says is good for you (e.g. learning an instrument - it's good, but definitely not essential).

The one thing I would recommend (I hope some people take this seriously) is Mindfulness Meditation over everything else. Being mindful helps you with all of these things (Staying committed, experiencing difficulty, becoming more manly, not fearing people and having more friends, becoming more successful, watching your desires, no fap, being happier, infinitely more++), and it's always my #1 priority of the day to meditate and be present.

If anybody is tired of doing all this self-dev shit and never getting anywhere, and wants to know how to start making a real change, spend some time reading this:

I do have sex.
I find that if it's been a long time since my last time I had sex (eg. 3-4 weeks), it'll be much more intense.

>>

>>
>>28304853
Stop over thinking it.

If you talk to women, and the only thing on your mind is sex, they're going to catch on and get turned off.

Women want an independent man who is happy by himself. They want to feel like the man is going to bring happiness into their life, not vice versa. Once you realize this you'll get laid.

Until then you're just forcing things and it's going to be luck that gets you laid.

>>28325587
Sex is psychological more than anything else. 90% of ED is psychological. I think that ties into intensity as well.

>>28325582
Yes I definitely agree. I practice that as well.

>>28325351
You become a real man when you stop trying to find answers on why you're not a real man and just accept that you already are.
>>
>>28325625
Honestly, I don't think nofap has a huge impact on time till you orgasm. And as Brohatma Ghandi said >>28325729 it's mainly psychological.
If you focus on if you're going to cum too quickly, it's very likely you'll cum quickly.
But if you focus on pleasing her and yourself, it's likely you'll do better.

Moisturizing should depend on your skin type/sensitivities/problem areas

Hair wash subjective, different skin types again(general rule, wash as little as possible for healthy hair)

If you wear tight jeans and a button up/polo in everyday life, you look like you are going to chat up drunk fatties at the club, and then not get laid. Dressing is a part of your individual expression and you should dress in a way that you would mind being seen. "Dressing well" is not "tight fitting, but not too tight" jeans and button downs.

Don't care what strangers think about you touching your face, focus on thinking why you are insecure and fixing it if that is a concern.

This is just retarded. You should sit however you feel comfortable. Waiting for something where everybody is standing up? Still got an hour wait? Sit the fuck down. Cold? Curl up. Tired? Rest your head, lay down on the bench. Who gives a shit. "Spread out" is actually a way of "alphas" (see: betas) trying to assert "control" in a situation that they have no control in.

>pause before you speak, at least more than a second if its casual conversation
Big fat faggot alert. Conversation should come naturally and not require forced things like this. If it doesn't, pausing is working a step backwards towards it becoming so.
>never say sorry unless its totally necessary
You should avoid saying "sorry" all the time since it makes people pity you, but you don't have to wait for it to be absolutely necessary. If you feel "sorry" for something- SAY IT. If you feel like you say it too much, just try to consciously try to identify if you are really sorry or just saying it. Communication isn't about pretending to be alpha, it's about expression thoughts/ideas/emotions effectively.

CLOTHES:
>disgusting white shirt with graphic design and ill fitting shorts with dirty running shoes: NO
You should aim for fitting clothes, but on a lazy day, wear a graphic tee if you like them, don't if you don't. Shouldn't not wear clothes you like. Wear some shorts you know look like shit, if you don't mind. Odds are, people will think "look at that dumb ass shorts," but you should just get over it. If you want to impress strangers, good on you and go for it. If you don't care, don't.
>trench coats ever: NO
Usually. Trenchcoats are an important staple of menswear/business fashion, and fits in more in certain climates. Looks bad on nearly everybody, but if you like it wear it(but you probably look bad). Aim to fix whatever is making it look bad.
>tank tops if youre not tan and muscular: NO
The recurring pattern, wear whatever the fuck you want.
>>transition lenses, fucking ever
Big fat faggot. They aren't worth it to me, since the ones I tried (10 years ago) didn't transition in the car, but if you spend a lot of time outdoors, it's annoying to carry around a spare sunglasses.

If you don't think that you can learn then that is your problem. If you don't think that you can study then that is your problem. If you think something is true and it makes you feel bad that is YOUR problem

Ultimately you need to do what Brohatma Ghandi said earlier in this thread and just realize that you already can study and learn. The question really isn't whether you can or cannot do it it's whether or not you want to

What is the point of productivity/efficiency in a task that you don't want to do? If you want to just get something over with then you shouldn't do it in the first place

Advices on from a few threads ago, just dumping what I put before

Never care what other people think. You've got a mind and a voice, don't silence them to please other people.

Dress to impress yourself. Personally, I don fully agree with /fa/ on somethings, but its good for basics. Essentially, dress up everyday to think Holy Shit I look sext as fuck.

Always have a project. Don't know where to start? Start with your body, and you'll find others.

Think of completing goals as a day to day thing. Rather than "I'll be 9% bf this time next year" make the goal "today i eat healthy - this next meal will be grillen chicken and veg, etc"

Most guys love relationships, not women. Under 30? Been with less than 20 girls? Don't settle down yet

Smile more. Or practice smiling more.

Never take anything as personal, just a new lesson.

Girls LIKE being spoken to. The guy just staring at them is creepy. Fuck, stick your tongue out at them if they catch you staring- do it cheekily enough and they smile. Or think you look part lzard. Either is fine.

Work hard, play hard. Dedicate time to unwinding.

Stand up straight, shoulders pushed back and chest out. Instant vconfidence boost as opposed to shoulders slunk forward and chest sunk in.

Moar?

This varies a lot between people - some people are more visual and have different memories
However you can write your notes then summarize then summarize again - the act of writing helps get it into your brain
Your memory works by linking things like concepts, images and places to each other - if you can find ways to link relevant knowledge in your mind it helps
Try memory cards, explaining things to someone else, recordings etc. etc.
Read up on memorization and study techniques, experiment, and find out what works for you

Sigh. Of course I don't think you should read all of these books. I just want to point out that their is an existing list of reading material composed by /fit/. You obviously shouldn't read them all, neither are all of them good books. And the barrier you talk about is mentioned in at least two of the books on the list (Book of Pook & how to make friends and influence people).

/SIG/ is a thread with ideas, things you could do, things that might help. Not an instruction set that you have to follow.

And yes, Art of War has been critisised a lot so whenever someone feels the urge to make a second list, he'll probably remove it.

Very nice, we're all gonna make it.

Little things adds up to big things …

Imagine average Joe coming home from work. Instead of cracking a beer and vegetating in front of the TV before bed time … he hits the gym. After a year of training, he’s shredded as fuck. Women admire him. His wife gives him blow jobs on demand.

He reads for an hour a day. Because his read books that enrich his minds, he makes better life decisions. He eats better food. He saves and invests his money. Perhaps he even works on his own business part time.

There’s an old saying that goes – those who don’t read, live only once. Those who read lives the life of a thousand men.

After reading, he meditates for 20 minutes. What used to raise his stress level is now met with zen like calm. He’s more in tune with his spiritual self. The more he meditates, the more self actualize he becomes.

This guy gets it.

Know how to use your hands as well as your brain. A handy man is a popular man.

Speaking of using your brain, don't be stupid. Think things through, educate yourself. Not everyone can be intelligent, but that doesn't give you the right to be an idiot.

It s not vanity, its pride. Take pride in your appearance, take pride in your surroundings.

The little things make a big difference. Always focus on the little things.

Never judge a woman for being a slut, because 9 times outta 10, you're just pissed off that shes not sleeping with you.

4chan is a terrible place. Use it for info and then fuck off (still working on).

The key to conversation is asking questions, just don't be an autist about it. React to what other people say, but to keep it flowing ask questions. For best advice, look for Tom Torrero Conversational King on tpb.

When doing something knew, make sure to hav fun with i. I said earlier about sticking your tongue out if a grill catches you staring. I do it for fun, and grills who are interested usuaaly reciprocate, or even give that sexy shy smile. Just have fun with everything.

Motorbikes impress girls more.

Only miss breakfast if your fatasfatass.

Have principles, something you believe in and will stand up for.

Use soap, a bar of soap before anything else.

Scooby maybe the nattyking, but hes brilliant for fatties losing weight.

If you can kill it or grow it, you can eat it. You cant grow a pizza, but you can grow apples. Easiest diet advice ever

Anyway, tired now, will chuck more in over the next few threads. If i end up repeating myself, its just because I think those are the most important points.

So this idea has been flowing through my head

Right now I am a high school graduate NEET with no job about to start college next semester, and I was thinking about typing up all my thoughts and experiment with the best and fastest ways to become successful as I become more successful. Like a "Starting Success" routine based on breaking your habits, becoming more successful, and becoming more optimistic and giving better chances for your future.

It would be for the NEET autist or whatever you would like to call them because I (kind of) am one and it would be from my perspective as I move up. I think I have great writing skills, and my reading comprehension reflects that. I would probably write about how I experimented with certain things, give really in-depth tips, and all that good stuff on my road to success (it would be a project until I have a great job... I would eventually post it on here in a couple years and share what I did, kind of like my skinnyfat - swole progress except in success in the real world.

but it's just thoughts right now, does this sound good or does it sound really gay

Hi all, jobless, degreeless, friendless, gfless NEET reporting in. How do I fix my crippling social anxiety and addiction to weed?
>>
>>28334973

1. Cut down on the weed

If you smoke multiple times a day now, cut down on it. From five times to three times. Gradually do this so you only smoke a few times a week. Then once a week... etc.

2. Social anxiety

See a therapist and get description for medications. I don't have any experience with social anxiety myself, but it's my impression that meds and therapy are the way to go

Best of luck Anon, we're all gonna make it.

You need to realize that whether you like it or not you exist in the present and all of your fears about what has happened and regrets about will happen also exist in the present. >>28335836
tip: don't wait to learn the songs you want to play. Find one you like and slow it down until you can play it. It's useful to learn songs this way that contain cool licks or techniques you would like to learn.

Combine that technique with a little common sense googline, i.e: how to sweep pick/how to tap/how to alternate pick etc etc.

Also, mind your picking hand's technique. You should always make sure the pick is perpendicular to the thumb and that the pointy end of the pick is only just about showing beneath the thumb. This way it can move over the strings more efficiently and you can play smoother/quicker.

Regarding attack (your picking/strumming motion) you should only be moving your wrist, not your elbow or shoulder. The motion should be relaxed and have no tension in the hard itself except for the slight bit required to hold the pick. (hold it tight enough to not fall out when brushing against the strings, but not too tight) The pick should be angled upwards at all times; you may have a tendency to move your pick angle to get to the higher strings, where infact you should be lowering or lifting up your hand instead. The pick should always be angled upwards.

For your fretting hand you should aim to get as clear as possible sounds out of every note. Your finger dexterity is important too. You don't have to push down too hard to get a sound. For an exercise try playing a note with your finger on the note without applying any pressure. Slowly add pressure until a clear note rings, you'll be surprised how lightly you can press down to get a clean note.

In general your fretting hand should be tension free and relaxed as possible. Relaxation is another key to speed. If you are playing sometihng challenging and find yourself tensing up, take a breath, completely relax your hand and continue.

Use a metronome.

Just some stuff I learned over the past few years of playing.
>>
>>28335958
You should just feel whatever you want then and justify it however you want
>>
>>28335984

I think I can play the vast majority of songs in the way you say (been playing 10 months and I can play a sloppy sultans of swing)

My question was about theory, chord formation, arpeggios, scales ect

I was surprised by how lightly I can press to get a note, thanks a load, that's really helpful

I dont really use a pick so that's a useful tip about he angle for when I have to learn something I cant fingerpick, ty m8

If you wear polo's you'll look like you're trying to pick up underageb& girls.
If you wear graphic t's, expect to be treated like a manchild.
