He was taking stupid amounts of gear for a 58-year-old.
Conduct cardiovascular exercise as if you are fleeing evil.
>fleeing evil
nigga that's heresy
>>42432920
Maybe if you're a pussy. Run as if you are running towards evil, to fight and overcome it.
>>42433054
>>42433064
You're both absolutely right. Conduct cardiovascular exercise as if you are fleeing righteousness.
>As soon as I hit that 4 plate deadlift, I'll be done.
>That's still not good.
>5 plates! That's when I'll feel complete.
>5.5...
>As soon as I hit 6, then I'll be strong enough.
It's another addiction.
>>42432872
It's a blessing/curse

Does anyone have any tips to improving posture? I try keeping my shoulders back but they seem to always eventually go back to their original position, making me look like a total beta. Also any tips for having more alpha body language?
>>42432740
Work core and back out. Just keep re adjusting..
Used to have decent posture then gained good amount of weight and it went to shit. Now just always re adjusting
Tell me how you fixed your pelvic tilt, anons.
>>42433638
work your glutes
Hey /fit/,
I have a surgery coming up on my knee and it will limit my ability to move for at least two weeks, and if they discover further damage, they told me it could even be as bad as 8 weeks.
Has anyone had experience with a similar surgery? I should be in a disabling brace for at least those first 2 weeks with a slightly more moveable brace over time. I will of course ask a doctor, but I don't want to lose my gainz so I'm working on prep.
>>42432606
i had a full acl reconstruction from a hamstring graft. Do every PT exercise at the maximum amount. If that means every day, do it every day. You will reduce your scar tissue and speed up your recovery by months, not to mention impress the QT physio girls with your hard work and dedication.
Mine still hurts and gets a little clicky if i spend all day walking on it, or after a really heavy leg day. I also lost 40% of my meniscus which is probably why. my squats arent a priority anymore as i dont want to grind it down any futher.
>>42432712
Fair advice. In your experience were you able to do anything beyond the PT. I imagine I could use my arms if I owned weights myself, so I may order some dumbbells, but how long would it take to say, plank? I have pretty muscular legs from being a former fatty, but my core is just starting to feel like it exists.
>>42432748
I wouldnt until you are fairly mobile. In order to set up youll be lugging weights around and taking tons of risk on your injured leg. Just dont eat like a pig and do your PT, youll be sweating plenty if its anything like mine
>Balance exercises
>mountain climbers on a slippery thing
>planks
>weighted wall sits
>heavy rope work
>leg machine curls
>single leg straight leg deadlift
etc. calm down faggot and recover.
Give me the final rundown
Once and for all
Effectiveness, side effects etc.
My hairline recedes 2mm per day
Rule of thumb: if it can be purchased OTC it doesn't work
Minoxidil is an exception but some people get strange side effects.
How do you guys avoid swaying your hips like crazy when doing this? I cannot even do a single rep without my body shifting from one side to the other. Is it just that I have a shitty core?
>That guy who wears basketball shorts to the gym
>That guy that goes through serious life threatening surgery and burdens tax payers because he lacks the self discipline to stop eating candy
>and he isn't a 5 year old either

I really wanted this guy to die.

didn't you hear? his blood pressure is dangerously low. check his twitter. he's in trouble.
Alright so can someone tell me what the fuck is going on here?
>start lifting like a year ago
>first lifts sucked
>remained persisted
>kept lifting
>6 months later, get amazing noob gains
>felt like I had a fuck ton of energy and was enjoying my pre-workout
>lifting a good amount
>6 months later again, feel like I'm slowing down in gains and it's taking longer
>feel like I don't have as much energy as I did when I first started
>a lot of pre-workouts make me shake after my workouts and I have bad insomnia as to when I started, I slept peacefully
>remember when I started and I had a fuck ton of fury and energy and was doing amazing
>now I feel slow and lethargic despite trying different pre-workout brands
>eating more than ever and making sure I get my protein in
what the fuck happened to my furious and amazing energy? I would write of threads of how much energy I had. I had such fucking passion and I slung the iron with more zeal than I do today. Thoughts?
get off preworkout for a while, i was feeling the same way plus i was having stomach acid issues too.
Get off of it for a while and instead have a banana right before you workout.
>>42432377
alright I'll try that.
Seriously I have fucking weird feels with pre now.
Doesn't also help I'm heavily heavily addicted to coffee, and that a 5 shot espresso does nothing to me.
try muscle shock and REALLY REALLY REALLY go hard on your work outs.
i had same problem. today i had the most intense and hardcore workout ive had in forever
>2017
>lifting weights
>not HOLDING weights

Who the fuck cares what some shrivelled, roided-up old retard has to say?
You can literally sit around on your couch and put on muscle mass with steroids. Any kind of pants-on-head dumbfuck training will get serious results.
isometrics can have its place in training.
but my god it would be boring if that was the only thing you ever did
>>42432339
If his method is SO much better, why is he old?
BEHOOLD!!

What are your favorite superfoods?
i want to start eating sweet potato as my main source of carbs along w/daily oatmeal
how do you guys prepare your sweet potato? and when do you eat it, relative to your workout time
what does "superfood" mean
>>42432283
>banana
>superfood
Bananas are the iceberg lettuce of fruits
>eggs
>superfood
What's super about eggs?
Today for my pull day I got so tired after my first two workouts I felt like I was about to pass out.
Can someone let me know what might be wrong? I did this same routine before and felt fine, but maybe it is the routine. Or malnutrition or something?
I do:
>Deadlifts 5 sets
>BB rows 5 sets
at this point I got lightheaded,
>T Bar rows 4 sets
after this I had to go to the bathroom to take a breather
>chilled for a bit
>Lat pulldown
>cable row
>db rows
then i did some bicep work and by the end of the workout felt fine.
How can I avoid feeling so shitty next time though?
>>42432194
eat carbs.
>>42432194
Drink water while you work out, make sure to not hold your breath for too long during sets and eat more before.
What is the fucking difference.
rack pulls vs block pulls
Pic derelated
the way the bar comes off blocks is the same as the way it comes off of the floor, this is important IF you are training the pull from the floor as a skill, ie weightlifters or powerlifters
>>42432121
You're right. Thanks.
