Sup fit, I'm a Corrections Officer and I have to say I'm impressed and also blown away by the physiques I see in my prison.
They get the three square meals provided by the State however they have access to the commissary where they can order all types of food. From candy, chips, sweets to real food like canned goods, dried meats, basically anything you can get a grocery store minus produce. Ramen is huge, during my cell searches I always find at least 20 to 30 packs of ramen.
To those who say bodyweight exercises won't get you anywhere, I call bullshit. They get 1-2 yard recreational periods a day and it lasts no more than an hour. All they got are pullup bars and dip bars.
The pushups they do are hardly full ROM, they do like quarter ROM but they rep it out like crazy.
Here I'm thinking bodyweight exercises will only get you so far. And yes I know all they do is eat, workout all day and sleep as long as they want, but these guys are bigger than most of the dudes in my gym who have access to weights.
tldr bw exercises are top tier
1. They naturally have higher test because they are what are truly alpha males. That's how they got into prison: too much test for the normie world.
2. They are sneaking in steroids, guaranteed. They are using your fellow officers to do it.
In summary, bodyweight exercises are inferior to other forms of training. There are other factors at play here.

While I don't doubt corrupt officers do smuggle controlled substances into prisons to say every single one of them is on steroids is retarded, that's like accusing all the guys bigger than you at your gym have to be on steroids.
Besides these motherfuckers aren't stupid, they get tested all the time and steroids are considered a controlled substance without a prescription, they know that comes up in their urine or blood, they're getting more time added to their sentence.
You can't sit here and say you wouldn't get hueg if all you did were bodyweight exercises, ate like a savage and slept when you want. You know why? Cause these inmates do it for years and don't need weights to get big.
Reminder to not get discouraged if you find yourself constantly falling short of your daily calorie goals or strength gains or sleeping schedule.
Most people don't make a sudden change and follow it perfectly right away. Just focus on doing better than you did yesterday and you'll be making gains before you know it.

Two tips:
Just try to get to bed 10 minutes earlier each night. You'll make progress faster than repeatedly telling yourself "I'm gonna wake up early tomorrow for sure."
Second, try to reset your circadian rhythm. Fast for *16* hours before you want to wake-up. A no-bullshit fast. No food, no water. Take melatonin 8 hours before you want to wake-up and your goal is to be asleep 7.5 hours before you want to wake up. Not in bed, fucking asleep. It's 5 sleep cycles.
And then eat a good breakfast when you wake up.

the latter would give you more time to recover i.e. you could put more effort into the sets, which would be good.
the first would make you more fatigued which i believe can support muscle tearing thus better gains.
