Is eating soy with dinner once a week enough for it to ruin training? How much and how often is top much?
I've been drinking soy milk all my life for multiple times a day and i have yet to grow tits and lose my body hair
>>42539292
You'd have to eat a shitload of soy for it to have any noticeable effect. And with shitloads I'm talking about a kg a day or more.
I take a scoop of soy a day, a lot of soy sauce and tofu every now and then and it hasn't stopped my gains.
Literally no one gave a shit about soy until recent years when the industry started shilling due to a decline in dairy consumption.
>>42539377
yep. It's really weird that there isn't a single documented case of soy consumption fucking up your body/gains yet everyone is scared shitless of it.
Really does make u think.
Omega-3 supplements. Are there any benefits at all?
>>42539101
Just go and buy some fish faggot.
If you live in a place with no sun then this is gold. Now stop asking stupid questions m8.
>>42539195
>Implying buying, preparing and eating fish is less of a burden than buying Omega-3 supplements.
New here. Is this picture what juicing looks like? Was Zyzz injecting roids in this pic?
>>42539022

Just another Spider and Elsa video
Hey /fit/, I trust you cunts more than I trust licensed and professional medical staff so here's the deal;
I'm an enormous lazy fuck and have actually starved because getting up would not have been worth the effort. However, I always somehow manage to convince myself to go to the gym. These past 4 months I have been going about 4-5 times every week and it has been great.
Recently however, whenever I go, I end up doing about a set or two before giving up. I feel totally un-energetic and just lose most of my will to workout. Its been goddamn shitty and I want the robustness back.
Do you think its because of specific foods or is it some sort of phase? Pls
try cocaine
>>42538556
True willpower comes from discipline.
You have to build up your discipline muscle.
Find difficult tasks and keep achieveing them. Also whenever you feel shitty, make that your cue to lift.
Vid below has good advice.

>>42538556
Maybe you have a really shit CNS, or you're stressed out as fuck and you're over training. Maybe try meditation. It's also possible you have something tiring you out badly, for example I'm dyspraxic so my sensory processing is shit and this it requires me to do expend a lot of mental energy just by existing.
>tfw you made it
ya'll gonna make it too lads
>>42537993
Don't go posting about "making it" without showing us your qt3.14 azn gf.
>>42538015
>he thinks making it is only about physical fitness
>>42537993
>starts with the romans

Someone edit this pic for lifting
so just take a dumbbell and go at it, that's what you're implying?
because every teenager already does that
this pic will be /fit/ if you write "routine" on the paper in Photoshop
The picture isn't wrong though. I believe that you really do have to "go at it".
To begin and proceed badly is enough. Those that can learn a better way will do it. You cannot give creativity or teach discipline. It is metamorphosis that must be undergone, and not all vessels are worthy of it.
Why the hell am I gaining pounds, /fit/? I'm cutting calories like crazy as well as cardio and I just went from 152lbs to 155lbs last night.
What am I doing wrong?
>>42537626
>Last night
What was the weight lost through out the week.
>>42537639
Well last week I was 153lbs, the night before last night I was 152 lbs, then last night I was 155 lbs.
What the fuck.
>>42537650
fluctuating liquids?
>go to the swimming pool
>been lifting for 4 years so decent body
>a chick comes at me
>"Hey you're swole as fuck bro"
>I'm weirded out
>but hey why not, pegging can be good sometime
>"thanks female pnj, what do you want?"
>she stares at me like I'm dead
>"a female what?"
>"I meant cutie pie"
>"That's literally worse"
>she leave
>I pursue her screeching
>I picture my self as a mad witch but I'm a man
>she slam me onto the concrete and write "manchild" on my right cheek
>I cry and she leaves again levitating this time
>mfw she was a literal witch
Where did I fuck up?
>>42537569
>Where did I fuck up?
When you left your mom's filthy hole.
>>42537614
Rude.
>>42537569
This is retarded. But you made me laugh, good job.
Why am I always so lethargic, /fit/? 25 year old male, 6' 180lbs
It's been like this for years if not my entire life, I gained a bit of weight this year but mostly it's muscle I think, since my job is laborious. I eat fairly healthy but admittedly I have a sweet tooth.
Had the same, turns out I have had a hereditary badly functioning thyroid for 4 years. T-thanks mom and dad. Have you had a medical checkup so you know your lvls?
>>42537597
I got my thyroid checked a few years ago to see if it was causing my depression, I don't feel depressed so much these days but definitely lethargic. I got a clean bill of health though so it's not a thyroid issue. Can it just be my diet? I'm planning to cut sodium and sugar from my diet and I'm hoping that will help me from slumping
>>42537557
Because you're a polar bear stuck in a zoo. You're meant to be out in the wild. Try to escape and you'll feel better in no time once you do.
How many sets per muscle group should be done every week? What's the ideal range?
Asking because I am now following a routine with just ~20 sets per muscle group per week (so for example just 2 excersises (4-5 sets each one) for pecs every gym session, 2 times per week) and I'm feeling like it's a bit too low. But maybe it's just ok and I'm being paranoid.
bump?
>>42537449
20 is fine.
If you really feel it's underwhelming -- increase weight and reps.
>>42537579
That'll do. Thanks
I want to start focusing on my abs.
What should I do. I like the idea of an ab bench more. But I hear people get good results with an ab wheel.
Planks, but do them right. Planks done incorrectly are of no use.
>>42537291
Correct me in I'm wrong, but planks don't really work the transverse abdominis that well.
With a sit up bench, you can lean back far and reach ever ab muscle.
>>42537280
The ab wheel is basically an unstable dynamic plank. It's a great exercise, ab benches are more useful for ghetto back extensions/ghrs.
>tfw mind says yes but body says no
What kind of things do you like to do to get some energy out of your system? My hamstrings feel too spent to go for a bike ride or a run. And yes I know leg DOMS is supposed to be a newbie thing, I don't know what happened.
>>42537142
>rest day
no such thing.
Do you not have a life/full time job?
>>42537163
It would be my 4th day in a row and to tell you the truth I just feel like I wouldn't get as good of a workout as I will get tomorrow. It's the rare situation where I'm pumped up to go to the gym, but feel like it's a bad idea.
>>42537191
No.
Is starvation mode real or do fat people just not want to stop eating?
>>42537037
It is real. If you somehow end up in a concentration camp, eating potato skins and bugs for a couple months, then your metabolism will slow down.
The 'starvation' that sets in because you haven't eaten in a couple of hours? Bullshit. The worst that can happen is low blood sugar, and if it hits you that badly you better get it checked out.
No food company are the culprit because they want to you to eat as frequently as possible. Even fit falls for the bait with as much as six meals daily.
>>42537037
it's bs
How do you guys tolerate the lifting culture of chad's and stacies? how they are basically the 2010 version of 90s dance clubs?
>>42536777
I use it for motivation. I lift to assault them.
>>42536794
that a cool way to look at it. what helps you tolerate their presence.
>>42536777
lol u gotta do u bro just be happy.
HOW do I achieve this?
