Rate my meal plan (made by my nutritionist), goal is to lost 5kg fast. I'm 170cm, currently 70kg.

>rest days
- 30kg of cereal + 125ml milk
- 1 piece of fruit + 1 mini baby bel light
- mixed green salad with 1tbsp olive oil and 1 package of crackers
- 1 piece of fruit + 1 rice cake
- 400ml of vegetable soup

>gym days
- add +2 rice cakes on 2nd snack
- go to the gym between 2nd snack and dinner
- calorie-free protein shake after dinner (I'm vegetarian)

Started lifting this summer doing 5x5. I enjoyed it but after 3 months I want to do something new.

I lost weight rapidly before lifting and my doctor advises me to maintain weight for awhile 5'10 190lbs. It seems like that cucks me as far as gaining muscle goes.
Would switching to a higher rep range workout plan help me lower body fat percentage more than 5x5 would?

Absolutely yes, and I'm speaking from experiences. I used to take a 30 minute walk to the gym and pleateau'd with bitch weight for months. I try to avoid cardio before lifting as much as possible now.
