I am well aware that leg press is much easier than back squats, however I feel like there is WAY too much of a difference between my two lifts.

>back squat 1 rep max 205

What the fuck is the cause of this? I have always had trouble maintaining a good squat stance, I normally feel like I will fall backwards and I compensate for that by leaning forward.

THe leg press is on an incline so its way easier. When I was squatting 200 I could leg press over 400 for reps

You've got to help me /fit/. Last one was taken last year October and right one today. Keep in mind, I had stopped working out from October to late January, and then once again from May 19th to July 3rd because of money and job problems.

I am now in a financial position to where I will not stop working out and I can keep going to the gym on a regular routine. My lifts have gone up, but my body still looks like shit, do I keep on bulking and stick to my routine? Do I switch routines? Help me.
Routine:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Sitting OHP 3x5
Bicep curl 3x5
Dumbell press 3x10
Incline dumbell press 3x10
Tricep pull down 3x10
Pulley row 3x10
Dumbell lateral raise 3x10

We can't MAKE you work out dude. If that's you in the pic then you're clearly not overweight, so if you're happy how you are then stay that way. Working out is more a long-term investment than anything else. Most people get fatter as they get older, building muscles and good eating habits in your youth means you're less likely to develop problems in the future. Also, for people who carry more bodyfat (not you), having muscles makes it easier to keep a low bodyfat percentage.
You should also know that most social activities with normal people involve eating and/or drinking, so unless your friends/gf/bf is fine with not drinking and eating then you'll probably gain fat when you start succumbing to their vices.

Also more muscles/activity means you get to eat more. If you like food then working out lets you eat more of it, which is again an investment in the long run because most people find comfort in food as they age

Give me 1 (one) good reason why I shouldn't go vegetarian for health/longevity reasons. Being vegetarian is objectively, measurably healthier than eating meat, especially red meat.

I don't care about gainz, getting swole or any of that meathead shit so if your argument is something along those lines, don't bother.

Well OP, I've been on a vegetarian diet for a couple months now, still making gains and feel really well. You should try it out yourself because it is a big commitment.

I can tell you though, the first weeks you should eat meat atleast once per week. Later on once every two weeks and so on. Don't go cold turkey.

Anyone with a bit of health and diet knowledge wanna weigh in on this?

ok i'll stop eating sardines from a tin

>Start eating 2 tins of mackarel daily

>similar swelling feeling albeit in the throat which makes it even more uncomfortable

I read it might be the histamine in the tinned fish, but taking anti-histamines doesn't really seem to be a way of beating it.

So basically I need to source another fish (or way of eating sardines/mackarel).

Catfishes, Tilapia and Basa seem pretty cheap and don't taste particularly offensive but to my understnading they're no where near as based as sardines, herrings and mackarels. also i'm a bit worried that they are imported from places like china/vietnam and are basically sewer fish

frozen cod and pollock are also fairly cheap. i presume they're half-way decent healthwise.

as are fresh mackarels and sardines (not sure if i would eventually start getting the reaction from these too though) and some other fresh fish like plaice - but obviously these require some preparation - which frozen and canned fish don't.

a last alternative is to eat smoked herrings and/or mackarel - these are fairly cheap - can taste ok - but i'm worried that eating smoked food regualrly might not work and i might continue to get the reaction under these.

any ideas?

He's right though. Gatorade is basically just super sugary water with a decent amount of sodium and potassium chucked into it, plus coloring and flavoring. That sugar, sodium, and potassium is really good for performance when you drink while you're actually performing an athletic activity, but outside of athletic activity, you want to be getting sugar from whole grains and fruits, and getting sodium and potassium from other real food like bananas.
