There are people who, given better aesthetics, a fitter body and the resulting confidence, will lose their self pity and hatred, and will be able to break free from the grips of overthinking and be better at socializing and mingling, maybe even become chads.
There are introverts. extroverts, and actual autistic people, but until you eliminate the overthinking and the constant self pity, you will never know if you were actually autistic or your head was just so far up your own ass you couldn't think straight.

haha funny!
maybe i should go to damnlol.com

Goalposts continue to evolve as you do.
I doubt I will ever be happy as a state of mind, but I feel somewhat content at least. You won't reach a state of nirvana as you describe here by becoming fit, sure you might be able to socialize more easily but that isn't as big of a problem as you're making it out to be to begin with. Really it's another obstacle in life, physical health and appearance is an important aspect and it ties in with everything else you do and you should address it but the grass will always be greener, you will find something else that is bothering you in life, your career or your love interest. It is however always worth persisting and striving towards improvement because suffering is not a better alternative to exhausting yourself.
Personally I resigned myself to accepting that fact that you will never truly be yourself, the ego as you perceive it is hard to define and is altering all the time anyway.

>missing the point.
>tfw you hit the sweet spot where you don't need to work out to look good anymore after lifting for 3 years
>still keep working out anyway
What should I do? I don't want to get more muscular but I want to keep my current muscle mass. Just need to cut a bit and I'll look pretty much like pic related which is my goal body.
Lift bitch weights for high reps.

If I'm a 5'11 male, what should the circumference of my thighs be to be ripped/ athletic?
26"+
>be chubbyfat
>work out lats
>now builtfat
Skinny-Fat here, I suspect this is a common type of thread but I could use some help
>been going to the gym a few months but only recently consistently
>super uncertain what I'm supposed to be doing to get rid of skinny-fat bod
>don't know if I should start with a lot of cardio, then move to weights, and so on
>don't know what kind of diet to adopt
Obviously my end goal is to get fit (abs, broad shoulders, big arms, etc), After seeing little results I just need a lot of direction concerning how I should be going about it
>pic isn't entirely accurate but it'll do

So, lift more and maintain TDEE?
COUNT YOUR FUCKING CALORIES.
Hey fit I've been trying to lose weight for a couple months now. It has been working so far I've lost ~50lbs but I feel like I've hit a wall now and the rate at which I'm losing weight has slowed down considerably. All that weight I lost without changing my diet, except cutting out sugary drinks and foods, is there any diet you guys would recommend. Ty for any help.
Start exercising, lifting helps alo with fatloss, eat alot of protein and give us some more info on your weight, height, bodyfat%
You really dont deserve a whole thread for your stupid question, go read the sticky and next time ask on a relevant thread
>>42498401
Probably not great advice and there are so many shitty threads about power bottoms and shit, I think a legitimate thread can live.
As for your weight loss: diet is most of the equation, exercising can be used to fill in some of the space. If you have a shit diet, exercising is at best a temporary fix.
There isn't a secret to it, look up your TDEE and subtract 500 calories and you'll lose weight at a decent rate. Your weight loss naturally slows as it is because when you lose weight your calorie burn lowers. The guy I >> does deserve some credit though, you don't have a lot to learn here. Most people don't know what they are talking about and it's better to research stuff yourself from better, legitimate sources.
>>42498342
LCHF Intermittent fasting.
Fat loss is all about controlling your insulin.
Has anyone seen good results doing rep ranges around 8 instead of 5? I thought about changing my compounds like squats, front squats, OHP and bench to the higher rep range to see if I benifit from it.
>>42498095
For biceps and calves I tend to go high reps.
>25-30 for calves
>12 for bi's
My chest will explode at as low as 4 reps and grows disproportionately quick but my fucking biceps are utter cunts that only grow at high reps/many sets
>>42498095
I injured myself (not lifting related) and added 3-4 reps to every set I did and lowered the weights right down to pretty much the bar so I could keep lifting and not kill my already fucked shoulder.
E.g. squats went from 3×5 to 3×8 + 1 set as many reps as possible as a last set and only move up a weight if I hit 8 in that last set.
I am now stronger and bigger than pre injury and am still doing that sort of rep and set ranges. I'm not the biggest or strongest here and I'm sure your mileage will vary but I would say there is not much difference for natural more casual lifters like myself.
There is that rep and set study infograph thing gloating around and says something that agrees with that but I don't have it handy and can't say I looked at it in depth.
>>42498182
So you would say it's safer and better to lower the weight but add reps?
Does anyone here do fullbody routine?
Splits are just too boring for me and I love the fullbody effect pump after, and they are simple af.
My routine:
Squat/deadlift (5/3/1)
Row/weighted pull up 5 sets
Bench/ohp(5/3/1)+jokers
arms
FxxFxxFxxF....
No, because I'm taxed by the end of my workout, and can't lift optimally.
Fullbody in just a single day kills your gains. Your body won't have enough time to repair all the muscles.
>>42498410
Is that not the point of a rest day between each?
>post body pic
>mirin bro
What did Pikek mean by this?
Yes, every time I stare at Ronaldo's ass I think the same
The only thing I can do is run
Every time I walk into the gym I tell myself "this is gonna be the day you start lifting bro" but then everything looks like a medieval torture instrument and I fuck off to the treadmill
Hey Bro, I highly suggest watching youtuber and fitness bloke 'Calum von Moger', hes super chill and shows you correct form without showing off and being in your face about it. Watching him has corrected my form on so many excersises it isnt even funny.
Good luck bro, we are all going to make it.
P.S If you don't like Calums sense of humor and want a more serious approach to this then there are litterally MILLIONS of different websites, articles, or even youtubers dedicated to helping people like you out.
Alright guys so according to this shit I should do 3 session a week for strenght, and 8 if aiming for endurance. Would it be a good if I did 3 days of strenght and on the rest days did endurance training?
If no, what do you guys do on rest day? I just cant sit down and do nothing.
>>42498002
Get a life outside the gym on your rest days
>>42498016
I have one, but im not going out every single rest day.
>suffer staph infection
>doc cuts big hole inside me to remove abscess
>out of the gym for 2 weeks
Is 2 weeks gonna dramatically lose my gains?
>>42497956
only if you're old.
>>42497956
as long as you eat well to maintain your mass and be active where you can, You'll be fine. If your bed ridden I suggest thoroughly massaging your mussels so atrophy isn't to bad.
does /fit/ fuck with the george foreman grill?
Those things are memes
i never had to buy one. as soon as i saw the commercial i immediately converted my waffle iron to cook burgers complete with a grease trap. it still works to this day.
