Any nutrition experts here? How many servings of fruits and veggies should you get? I'll get about 8-12 a day. Should I try to make smoothies to increase this?
I watched this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys86ZgjQQYg
Should I make these?
>>42592553
Yes also sauce?
>>42592553
i eat 5lbs of leafy greens a day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4s1I13tmQM
At least 1 pound/500g per 1000 calories, 1/3 raw veg, 1/3 cooked veg, 1/3 fruit
Up to 2 pounds/1000 calories is good
Don't question me
What does /fit/ think of this man?
>>42592392
>muh army of trolls
>lel, you moved your back when doing diddly, doesn't count
>did you hear about this ebicc beef between two faggots ? I mean, ow my gaawd, he did not say that.
I liked some of his fail compilations, but at some point his ego just went way overboard.
I like him but anytime I remember him roasting Omarisuf in his video where he reacts to watchmojo's top ten fitness youtubers, I get a little angry since Omar's my baby.
ZZZZZZZZZeroooo xD
/fit/, I've been lifting for about a month and have dropped a conskderable amount of bodyfat. I work out 6 days a week (Sunday rest) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours a session. My question is should I continue to cut or should I begin to bulk in order to gain muscle over winter and cut for next summer? Will post more pics and macros in thread if you want. Thanks /fit/!
Side view of me pinching as much fat as I can from my belly.
I'd say to bulk over the winter and then cut for summer.
>>42592413
Is my bodyfat not too high already for bulking? I'm on 2770 calories a day at the moment which I consider bulking. Should I raise or lower that? I'm new to this so thanks for the help
So these studies say
>Short-term fasting (**basically 12-24 hours**) increased the GnRH-elicited LH response by 67% in the non-obese group (LH incremental areas 2147 +/- 304 vs 3581 +/- 256, p less than 0.01), and the corresponding testosterone response by 180% (testosterone incremental areas 111 +/- 61 vs 311 +/- 49 micrograms.l-1.min-1, p less than 0.01). Anyone here try this?

>> after 15-24 hours of consuming no calories, growth hormone levels were elevated 2000% from the baseline.[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Pituitary-testicular+axis+in+obese+men+during+short-term+fasting.]

what was your goal in creating this thread?
>>42592380
I mean .. no it's anybody who fasts.
This is the response to fasting.
The point you're trying to make is like saying
> Fire creates heat
> Pshh .. only balsa wood tho.
Bodybuilding didnt need any more bad publicity after Rich. Now this.
This kills the bodybuilding.

Why shouldn't I just Squat, Deadlift, Bench and OHP every workout?
>>42592280
>Why shouldn't I destroy my joints as fast as I can
>>42592290
SS recommends squats every workout
>>42592280
>deadlifting
Why people bother doing that?
It fucks ups your back, you dont need it
I havent do that and will never do it
>on -500 calorie deficit like sticky told me
>stand up
>almost pass out
Ok, what can I do to fix this? More cardio?
drink more water
stop falling for the calorie reduction maymay
Don't stand up
>Recently came back to school, Chemistry in Stockholm University

>Some nutritionist-students sit at the closest table
>Spot my nutrient-bro with his group, we shared biochemistry last year, he lifts
>They are compiling a year-long research paper about why people stop working out
>Questions about why they started, what kind of work outs, sports, weightlifting
>They talk and laugh at something and my bro asks me to come quick
>He starts explaining
>Most people say it is due to lack of time, or other exercises
>Most sport-quitters are due to not going pro, or continue recreationally
>How often do you see 25-35 year olds play football, hockey or soccer on their free time really?
>Often they replace sports with weightlifting etc

>Number one reason is not listed as an injury, rather revleaed how the questions were asked
>Or rather why they did not START AGAIN
"I did not start (crossfit) again because I have a pain in my elbow/knee/shoulder etc"
So that is how crossfit injury-rate is quite low, but still got a bad rep for injuries.
$ on top reason being burnout as opposed to injury rate
>>42592163
That is correct my man. They stopped crossfit because a lot of reasons, but the number one thing about not coming back was "It hurts"
so it was never really listed as injuries
Crossfit is a way to keep stupid people out of our way in the gym.
A good squat rack is expensive. A shitty, empty room, with a shitty, empty trainer who leads a shitty, empty workout of the day is cheap as fuck. If idiots think they can do better with rabdo, they aren't clogging up real gyms.
TL:DR I think crossfit is just a real-life manlet pit to keep idiots out of real gyms.
hi /fit/
what do you guys think of the farmer's walk exercise?
it's basically where you walk swiftly w/ your back straight holding a weight, and it works the FUCK out of your forearms
been doing this every other day around my neighborhood with a single 20lb weight since late june, occasionally interchanging between each arm
curious to hear your thoughts
you hold a weight in each hand for a farmer's walk retard
>>42592025
The one-handed version is called Subsidized Farmer Walk
>single dumbell
haha, u idiot.
>eating 2000kcals and no cardio
Vs
>eating 2500kcals and 500kcals of cardio
Both put you in a 500kcal deficit, not counting the kcals burned from lifting weights

Or 2250kcals and 250kcals of cardio. This is more manageable IMO, it's what I've done and had good success.
I don't do cardio on lift days, though. My cardio is usually HIIT beating up a heavy bag, and exhausts my arms & shoulders too much to have an effective lift session after.
Why Snapcity is a city and Gainesville is just a ville?
>>42591888
because all signs point to snapcity because population there is: literally everyone
while not many people see signs to gainsville and pop is small
daily reminder
>gainsville is full of frauds
fuck this place
>>42591961
man, people must learn to read sign points
fucking people
How much time and dedication does Oly lifting actually require to become proficient in? If my goal is to become strong and explosive overall and become a good olympic lifter, not in a competitive sense, is it even worthwhile to invest any time into it, or is it a waste of labor and time better spent on other things if I'm past 18?
> If my goal is to become strong and explosive overall and become a good olympic lifter, not in a competitive sense, is it even worthwhile to invest any time into it, or is it a waste of labor and time better spent on other things if I'm past 18?
> If my goal is X, should my goal be X?
does not compute
>>42591792
To become proficient? A long time uncoached, a few years with a coach. Depends on how much time you invest into mobility and regular training.
Honestly, self taught is fun and you learn/review as you go
>>42593494
this
try it out and see for yourself for fucks sake. you retards are something else
