a long while back I made a thread trying to cure chrons. This is what I know so far: chron's is an autoimmune disease. white blood cells crown around the colon and create inflammation. not because the white blood cells are crowding around the bowel, because they release histamines that inflame it. they do this to prevent bacteria getting in. also, they capture bacteria in a process making a phagosome meaning they encapsulate it in a sort of jello thing, and when that happens an enzyme disintegrates it into other things that aren't harmful. now, we get enzymes from two things: food, and within the body. these enzymes specifically are hydrolytic enzymes, and they are made, in the pancreas. the pancreas also havesto do with insulin. insulin plays a role in regulating these enzymes. when a cell is insulin resistant: that means the enzyme isn't regulated by it. so if after phagosis the enzymes aren't there then the white blood cells will continue to crowd around the area and keep releasing histamine. this is ibs mainly, but I believe chrons is just an amplified version of this where the enzyme levels have depleted so bad that other enzyme deficiency PLUS other factors such as -getting your tonsils or gall bladder removal, contribute to this. which we'll get to that in a second. ANYWAY long story short: fasting for an extreme amount of time resets these levels, and there have been many case studies of people who have cured it through this method. the catch? 40 days usually. It takes about 40 days of fasting. not a week, not two, about a month and a week. now: I wouldn't recommend this if you've had your gall bladder removed because it probably won't be as effective. gall bladder removal will basically simulate insulin resistance because it plays a role in bacterial removal too. tonsils less so: they form a few essential proteins used by white blood cells, but I think they may be formed elsewhere. just a general prevention tip: don't get either of these removed.

For pullups, I started with negatives (jumping up to top of movement, then letting down slowly, perhaps 3 sets of 10 a workout. Took a month before I could do one proper, then I began to mix full pullups in
Now I do 4x8-10 unweighted, 5x5 weighted. I've heard commonly once you can do 12 in a row unassisted, you add weight and scale up from there
I've never had a problem with pushups, though I hear knee push ups are a good way to start building upper body strength. I've moved on to decline push ups at this point, usually to failure (about 35 with feet raised 12 in)
