>camus arguing that, if you view the goal as continuous self improvement rather than simply reaching the top of the mountain, that the gods failed in their punishment of Sisyphus
>>42673976
I've always disliked Camus' reference to Sisyphus because his punishment isn't merely the rolling of the boulder but the futility of the action as it always breaks free and rolls back down the mountain. If Sisyphus instead had to push it up an infinite mountain, I could see a good argument. It's the difference between never improving due to backsliding in your lifts and always chasing some infinite number that you cannot reach but nonetheless continuing to improve.

>can't even have cheat days without feeling sick for 2-3 days after
>can't even eat 1/3rd of the amount of shit I use to eat on cheat days anymore
Aging is horrible.
This is the new thing I've experienced with getting older. The first big thing I noticed with ageing was not being able to do all nighters, now it's not being able to binge on shit anymore.
I wonder how long until I start having those random lifting injuries that never go away...what the fuck then?
Slowly losing everything I enjoy in life.
Had a cheat day 2 days ago and still my stomach feels "off" and because of it and I feel nausea. I never use to get that from cheat days, in fact I'd always feel better the following days, now it's just horrible.

Cheat days are for fags anyway OP your body is telling you to stop being a fag
I feel like my old man now. He's 66 and has to avoid specific foods or he gets all fucked up because of it. Crazy how as our body ages it becomes very sensitive to specific things.

For what purpose? Be consistent man.
Also aren't this program doing Power cleans a bit to seldom?

It's a screenshot of the book, I don't know why is it like that either.
While we're on that, would it be alright to add some seated cable rows at the end of the workouts? Really love it.
No doubt it's aesthetic, but is 5-6% body fat healthy to maintain?
>>42673790
If you don't mind being cold all the time and not being able to eat very much. Also water/food will make you bloat and look weird because everything else is so flat

Skull crushers are a tricep exercise, curls and chin ups are your best bet for biceps. Focus on eccentric overload and eventually you'll start seeing gains.
>>42673569
Also a homegym friendo here
Get yourself a pull up bar for £20 off Amazon, they are sturdy and they won't kill you, I've had mine for 5 years.
Also buy yourself a dip belt, or do what I did for years, use an old leather belt to attach weight to.
Weighted chin-ups did more for my biceps than any other exercise. I remember when I started incorporating them I could only barbell curl 35kg for 10 reps, I dropped barbell curls for weighted chin ups for a few weeks, working up to 1plate for 5 reps, focusing on the eccentric and concentric parts of the movement. After a few weeks I went back to that barbell curl as I was going out and wanted a pump, 35kg felt light as fuck and I had got the strength to do 40kg x 8.
Long story short: Weighted chin ups.

problem is that i have a realyl low ceiling, like low enough to where the door frame and the ceiling touch so i cant get a pullup bar to hook on the door frame :/

I've been running Starting Strength for a month now and I added cleans to my workout yesterday for the first time, which is described as phase 2 on the starting strength website. How long should I run this phase of the program until I switch to phase 3? On the site it just says that it could vary from several weeks to several months but it doesn't say what parameters to use to know when to switch.
>>42673275
Just keep following it until you have the proportions of a woman.
>>42673275
You should be doing it until you have achieved your noob gains, which are linear. When you have stalled for a week, which means that you haven't been able to raise your weight for three work outs, you should change programs to a intermediate one. This should take about one to two months.
For me it happened when I reached 92,5 kg in squats, 120 kg in dead lift, 70 kg in bench press, and 50 kg in press. I can't remember what I power cleaned, but I had some issues with power clean so I stopped doing them after a while.
Also this might be of help.
http://www.strengthstandards.co/#/
I think that you should be able to achieve novice status with linear gains.
>tfw the commissariat confiscated all of my gains again
>>42673217
>normies deserved worse
>tfw had tinder slut come over for fuck late at night and woke up and she had turned in to gains goblin and was ravaging my asshole for gains for the lack of sleep
>the duke of DYELs and the manlet monarch are having another fight to the death
So nerds, why is it recommended to use the same weight doing sqwaats, Dls and bench??
>>42673159
It's not
Sure, maybe starting out they recommend just the bar but that's just feeling it out
What?
It's not.. you will never bench more than your squat and deadlift unless you've got no legs.
