I want to start getting /fit/ because I'm a weak fat ass. But I have no money. Will push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and running help me get /fit/?
Also I don't have a pull up bar. But there's a playground down the street from where I live. Is it okay to do pull ups there or will people look at me like I'm some kind of pedo?
>>42688243
You'll look like an autist doing pull-ups on a playground by yourself.
Stop caring what people think. And people aren't gonma think you're a pedo for doing pull ups, just don't eye the kids.
All that will get you a ways, but save up and buy yourself some dumbbells at least. You can do some variation of almost any exercise with dumbbells and you can get adjustable ones for less than 2 hundy for a set.

First, you might be surprised by how cheap some gyms can be but idk where you're from.
Calisthenics is a perfectly fine place to get started. You can learn the basics of following proper form, programming, diet, discipline etc. just fine from calisthenics. /r/bodyweightfitness has a good FAQ in the sidebar with a Beginner's Program that helped me make noticeable gains. If you're very fat it might be difficult, idk I've never been fat maybe someone else can help you there.
If the playground is crowded then yeah it might be creepy for you to workout there. If nobody is there then who cares. A good calisthenics program will have you doing dips and inverted rows so check if your park has something available for that. You can buy a pullup bar for a few bucks that will fit on your door frame. I built one out of metal that went into the corner of my room and I built my own dip rack that could be used for rows too for super cheap.
Also, situps are stupid. There are many superior core exercises. Oh, and don't assume you know how to do anything. I can almost guarantee you don't actually know how to do proper pushups, pullups, or how to even run properly or with intelligent programming to make progress. YouTube and Google everything and teach yourself proper form. And stop drinking soda.

the idea of parents buying fast food for the whole family makes me really fucking depressed
Fake. Saged

Yes, isolations only for aesthetics is a common misconception
My shoulder was fucked up during a football match 2 months back and I haven't trained proper chest since because it hurts like a bitch whenever I try to bench or likewise. I had an x-ray done and the doctor basically said he can't see shit wrong. Should I work through the pain or nah?
My chest is visibly disappearing. It's depressing as fuck. Help a /fit/izen out
Shameless self-bump
If it hurts to train chest then don't do it. You're fucking your shit up more. Go see a message therapist or even physio fix your shoulder and chest.
I had a lower tricep tear that was kinda small but painful. Physio and Doctor didn't care much and told me to take time off to heal it. In 2 months it never really healed the same and scar tissue formed (which isn't elastic like muscle so it hurt to lift). I talked to a personal trainer that is the biggest guy in the gym and he showed me how to foam roll my arm using PVC pipe to break down the scar tissue and let regular muscle tissue heal it. 4 days later I was 100%
Point is Doctors don't know shit about sport injuries. All they will tell you is to stop lifting, they won't give you rehab to keep lifting and heal. Go talk to a knowledable personal trainer or message therapist. Maybe even a physio just to make sure nothing crazy is happened and it's just muscle related.
Anyways good luck and yes injuries suck ass.

Thanks for the legit advice tho.
Leg-day it is then.
Fuck I miss working my chest tho
What do you eat for breakfast /fit/? I need new options.
I think eating cereal daily is not helping me to fix my skinny fat condition.
as unhealthy as it is, you can lose the skinny fat situation as long as you're at a deficit.
But maybe you should eat eggs, oatmeal, fruit, some bread with a little bit of peanut butter. Monitor your calories
100g oats blended into a fine powder. A pint of milk with a heaped teaspoon of almond butter blended in and large scoop of protein powder. Put it all together in a shake and it goes down very easily.
skimmed quark with oats.
Honey is optional
I have issues on my dick and balls /fit/.
My nuts are small, and my sperm is translucent. It's not white.
How do I fix this shit. I eat well, supplement well (A - B - Zinc) and it persists.
Help.

Anyone else here a Keto dieter?
I started this 5 weeks ago and the results have been amazing.
> Starting weight 215 lbs
> Starting Body Fat 25% according to BIA
After a week my body got used to the switch. I have a refeed day every weekend and its weird desu. When I binge on carbs I feel drunk for a while post meal, and not like the "itis" but legit buzzed.
> Current weight 198 lbs
> Current Body Fat 21% according to the same BIA
I feel less energetic on average especially when I am getting ready to exercise but my endurance is off the charts. I don't crash midway through a routine anymore.
>>42687953
Been doing it for 2 years, lift heavier than ever, just takes time to really get your body adapted well, but i'm still improving. Glad to have left that carb and sugar crap behind.
Fat will boost your test and protein intake is no problem on keto, just welcome the gains into your life
>>42688136
I noticed a dip in my strength the first 3 weeks but I have recovered and I am lifting heavier and longer than I ever have. I don't think I can ever go back to carbs and sugars.
i'm trying a ketogenic diet after listening to a couple of joe rogan interviews with some doctors, and telling my dad about it. he's overweight, and i told him if he does it, i'll do it with him. i'm at a good weight.
1.5 weeks in and i've lost 8lb. i'm over the main hump. the second and third day were the worst. second day i had a headache until about noon, felt extremely sluggish, shuffled around like a zombie. third day i was nauseous and exhausted until about noon, then felt great. since then i've been a bit lower energy than normal, but body is starting to feel really good.
i'm finding that it's difficult to eat enough. i didn't eat bread before i began this diet (maybe a cheeseburger every 2 weeks, and a sandwich once or twice per month), but i did eat cereal once or twice a week, and i did drink beer on and off. sometimes a few times a week, sometimes once or so a month. my transition hasn't been as hard so far as what i've heard from other people.
my dad's experience has been pretty similar to mine, and he's 57 years old. he's about 70lb overweight, and is a carb ingesting beast. he fasted the first day, but didn't listen to my advice to drink lots of water, so he lost about 7lb the first day, and when he started drinking water it all came back, so he was pissed off until i explained it to him. he experienced the sluggishness for a couple days and had some headaches.
i helped him with the headaches by recommending morton's lite-salt and magnesium supplements.
the fatigue i have lately is very subtle, and it's getting less noticeable.
I've seen Pro-Bodybuilders take the supplement "Milk Thistle" with the reason "To protect the liver from toxins". I've also heard people saying, that they take it because of the use of roids.
Now my question: I drink alcohol on a daily (mostly whiskey) and am also lifting seriously. Would it be of advantage for me to take said supplement to protect my liver? (I eat very very clean besides the drinking)

>>42688001
Come on dude, there's a reason we are on this board.
(Thanks anyway)
>>42687889
I was a heavy drinker (now completely dry). I started taking milk thistle because of a slightly elevated liver ALT caused by cholesterol medication. My cholesterol is high no matter what and regardless of only eating chicken breast, veggies, and avocados for three miserable months it was still high.
Anyways, I went to a gastro doctor to have him give me a look. He told me not to take it as it put more stress on my liver. That being said my general practitioner said I should take it. I'm currently following gastros advice as the liver is his specialty.
Also, stop drinking. You are scarring up your liver and giving yourself a fatty liver. You don't want to die yellow in a hospital bed drifting in and out of sanity from the toxins in your blood. This goes for fat people here. If you think obese people don't get liver failure from fatty liver you are WROOOOONNNGGGGG. Fix your lifestyle now gentlemen.
Ralf Moeller should have become famous and hung out with Arnold as he's super tall and was built like Arnold in his prime.
So what happened? Other than a last place finish in the 1988 Mr.Olympia contest.
If height mattered so much then why didn't he make it?
>>42687845
He just doesn't stand out. Compare him to Arnie and he's just not nearly as striking. He lacks something interesting.
in the words of "dominican", "he was germanic"
>>42687845
He did get famous. He's a professional character actor so he doesn't get staring roles. Ralf is in around 50 movies and TV shows and countless commercials. Another reason you don't recognize him is that he's old now and doesn't have the body he used to.
