i have given up on linear progression even though it isnt recommended to stop with that until 2pl8s, so now im stuck to the slow progress of 5/3/1, but at least im making progress :")

If you can do 1/2/3/4 and know basic fitness knowledge (sticky) then your good
drop a few hundred bucks on some online courses and sprinkle some snake oil bullshit into your suggested "routines" and you'll be good to go.
most important thing is to be in shape. hell, some places will hire you if you just have that along side good people skills
next thing to have is a cert that can be gained in literally one weekend. PT certs are a joke. but it's good to have, most places require this really. and if you don't have one they will probably have you get one, out of their pocket. so having one already is good for them.
after that nothing really matters. if you have fancy boy college schoolings that's a bonus but not needed since being a PT is very easy.
How do I stop fucking dropping the bar on my heavy deadlifts?
I have no problem getting it up but the bar always slides through my hands when I reach the top. It's really awkward.
I use a double overhand grip. I've heard shitty things about mixed grips and that they promote muscle imbalances. Is this true? Or is mixed grip fine?
mixed grip is fine, just alternate hands to solve imbalance. this can be annoying since it means odd number of sets with still cause it. you have to remember what hand position you used last set last deadlift session if you did say 5x5
if you don't wanna fuck with that, time to do bar holds to improve grip strength so you can hold onto the bar you little girl
