i was never really fat as such, but after an arm injury and 2 years of heavy partying at uni i was weak and pudgy af, got /fit/ter over the last 20 months or so and shits cash
>more energy
>wake up earlier in the morning
>horny all the fucking time
>in groups of 10 or less when it's a mix of doods and grills i'm more often than not the centre of attention
>more guy friends, old friends seem to respect me more, ask me for my opinion more, more excited to see me etc
>grills pay more attention to me, laugh more at my jokes, randomly touch me quite a bit (the last three may have more to do with fixing my tism somewhat)
>i enjoy working out/running/rowing/cycling way more than i ever did at school
>don't smoke/smoke weed/drink nearly as often, enjoy it much more when i do
>healthy food is tastier and more satisfying than it used to be, crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks gross me out more and make me feel bloated
>naturally smell better (srs)
>dick is like a cm bigger (srs)
>surfing is easier and more fun than it's ever been

Not entirely former fatty here, but have lost a bit of weight and been lifting for a while now.

Biggest change is that I now view things different. Now when people look at me I don't automatically think it's done out of disgust.

What if 2.5 plate squats are feeling a bit heavy and I'm not going very deep? Is it best to deload and go deep again or keep going and going parallel doesn't matter too much?

I know how you feel, I have deloaded 3 times, the first time I was quarter squatting, the second time I was doing only barely above parallel, the third time I was doing parallel

now I am going below parallel, record yourself, it's super important, you might feel like you go deep enough, but in reality you aren't!!!!!

now why go deep? because you involve much more muscles when you deep, which induces more hypetrophy, and other than that it's much more fucking amazing to see someone squatting 2.5 plates and ACTUALLY going deep, than barely reaching parallel...

Whenever I go to the gym I see an old guy running on that thing, he doesn't use the handles and it looks like he's jogging with perfect form. For the first 3 weeks I thought he would be using a treadmill. Always mirin hard.

So this is on 9gags front page. My run down of the list:

1. True, soreness isn't necessarily a sign of good workout, and since you feel less and less sore the more you workout, if you're feeling sore after lifting for 4 months then you're definitely doing something wrong

2. What the fuck does "relax the muscles" mean. I'm sure stretching helps reduce soreness as well, but one again, if you lift a lot you shouldn't be feeling sore anyways.

3. True, better to a few sets of good quality then a shit load of stupid exercises.

4. Fucking False, the best kind of workout is where you hit each muscle group twice a week. That can't be done if you're resting 3 fucking days. This is complete and utter bullshit.

5. Actually never considered this. Probably a bit of truth here, since you gain fat as well as muscle when working out. Although I'm pretty sure your fat would through off your tape measurements just as much as it would throw off you weight scale measurements.

6. "In the first instance you burn body fat in the areas you didn't target" Not really. I mean you lose fat where your body decides to lose it first, since "spot reduction" of fat isn't possible.

7. Do fucking SS like everyone else, I'm so sick of this "special little snowflake" bullshit.

8. I wouldn't recommend wearing neoprene to work out, but except from the heat you'll be feeling, how will it harm your health?

9. What? As in bulky isn't hot? Also, no, just no, women build muscle just like men do.

10. You can get big as fuck and eat like shit too. Rich Piana anyone?

All in all this list is terrible, and I'm so sick of seeing normies succumb to this crap.

It's literally impossible to bulk with these three targets:

-cheap-ish
-healthy
-not hugely time consuming

No, it's quite healthy. There is plenty of peer reviewed research suggesting that eggs have no effect on cholesterol levels, which basic physiological knowledge should tell you anyway. In addition to that, eggs are a wonderful source of hard to get vitamins, minerals, and an easy source of protein and calories.

I fit all my macros with those and it's dirt cheap if you buy it in bulk. tuna is marginally more expensive. still falling short? invest in whey to fit the remaining protein macros and IIFYM the rest.
