Is melatonin safe to take? Or maybe ZMA? Is sleep hygiene really that useful? Should you eat something in particular before bed or nothing at all?

I am so sick of not being able to sleep. I woke up early to go to the gym, almost nodded off at my commute on the subway to and from work, and now I've been laying in bed for two hours. I'm not even tired at all right now. This has been going on for years and it really fucks me up. I don't even drink coffee.

Tried Melatonin. Bounced right off me. Didn't do shit.

Tried Zopiclone when I have totally fucked up insomnia (2 hours a day, 16 hours to get it, time ceased to have meaning). Put me down, kicked me back to normal insomnia.

I just want to sleep.

And the sleep tests can't be done for me. Skin condition makes all the testing equipment drive me nuts. Can't handle more than a few minutes before it starts itching like fuck.

Long time sufferer here and I just want to fucking sleep from night to morning not the morning to night.

anecdotal evidence is everywhere, during summer you see all these curlbros with HUGE bis and literally flat triceps and all they do is lot of isolation "bro exercises" for their biceps. now include also your tris that are more than half of your arm size and after gaining +45lbs lean muscle you'll have decent arms for your 6' stature

This makes me feel better; I have injuries so I have to isolate biceps/triceps and keep my shoulders still and supported.

Would the machine in pic related, and the tricep version of said machine be enough? There's few exercises I can do with my injuries.

Post /fit/ food hacks you've acquired from family, friends, people, books, yourself, or the internet.

I got a couple.
1. Lay out all the ingredients for the recipe you're going to make in front of you. This makes cooking go a lot smoother.
2. Don't try to combine steps unless you're really confident with the recipe. It's easier to cut up all your veggies/meats/seasoning first before you begin cooking so you can just combine everything at the right time.
3. Cooking to me is a science. I TIME everything. I even time my steaks on the grill. Things just turn out so much better when I don't rely on eye balling and approximation.
4. A tablespoon of olive oil has 110 calories...using sparingly.
5. Always have a food waste bowl on the table. It can get overwhelming seeing a bunch of food everywhere.
6. Place veggies/eggs/pasta in cold water to stop cooking, leaving them at room temp could overcook the food.
