Like less than a year if you train it 3+ days a week.
My friend who is ecto 6' 155lbs ohp 185x2 in less than a year, his gym had ni flat bench so that was the only pressing he could do 5 days a week.

Protein : Eggs, Skinless chicken, 93/7% ground turkey and ground beef. Lamb chops/shanks, sardines in olive oil, whiting, salmon, almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, pistachios. protein shake : whey gold preferably grass fed organic non gmo whey protein

Carbs: whole wheat bread/pasta, steel cut/rolled oats, sweet potato, brown rice
fats:nuts, extra virgin organic olive oil fruit whatever I can get within reason and I always have a vegetable in every meal. I make sure to mix it up.

Okay, lads. I'm about 5'10" and 186 pounds. I want to get down to 170. I read all the stickies on routines and such and I think I've come up with a solid routine. I just wanted to see what some of you thought.

Monday - Dumbbell chest press
Dumbbell flyes
Skull crushers & tricep extensions
Abs

Tuesday - dumbbell curls & hammer curls
Military press & front/side raises

Wednesday - dumbbell squats/lunges
Dumbbell rows

Thursday is a repeat of Monday and Friday is a repeat of Tuesday. Also, j want to try and get in about 30 minutes of cardio (running or heavy bag) at least 3 times a week.

What do ya think, boys? Good starting routine for a new fag?

I think that's about it. Most gyms will be absolutely fine, the only other things to consider would be stuff like opening hours, peak times, PT's if you want one etc., mostly just how convenient the gym is for you.

Not all expensive gyms are worth the money, and sometimes the cheap ones are actually way better.

That being said, I would (and I actually do) easily pay 40-50 a month to go to a nice cosy gym that I like, with nice equipment, nice/inspiring people, good looking chicks w big asses wearing those yoga pants with thongs sewn on to the outside of the fabric IF all the 20$/month gyms in my area were shit. 20 bucks extra a month is not that much money if you have a decent job.

I have two gym memberships, one is an old pl/oly gym where all the regulars know each other, machines are old but ok, shitloads of barbells plates and lifting platforms. Music is chosen by gym attendees (this is a HUGE pro, really) and played on an aux cable through an old crappy stereo. About 15$/month

Other one is a crossfit/martial arts/"""functional"""/""""""military"""""" boot camp style/etc fancy ass place, lots of bunnies doing instagram meme ass workouts, roid bruhs, avg age prob <25. Kinda crowded during peak, and opening hours during weekends are total shit.
Lot of different activities (which I dont utilize), like yoga/pilates/martial arts/crossfit/etc classes.
Music is 75% total shit so I gotta wear headphones which kinda sucks because it raises your gymcel level by like, a lot. 50$/month

I could easily stick to the oldschool pl gym and save those 50 dollars a month but I like changing gyms, I really feel it accelerates my progress. Going to the same (maybe shitty) gym for years, same people, will sometimes make me feel mentally stuck in the same place. Plus I like the amount of ass

Tl; dr: If I had to choose between a 20$/month meh gym and a 50$/month super awesome (or just slightly awesomer, really) I would choose the 50$ one

Yeah maybe $20 is a bit cheap but again I'm a britbong so was just guessing really, but I don't think on average it would be much more than that. From what I've read on here a Planet Fitness membership is $10/mo, Gold's Gym membership from $17/mo.

Your other gym is pretty much what I meant by 'specialist training'. If the gym offers classes, especially MMA etc., I would expect the price to be a good bit higher.
