How do you git gud by doing normal sports (no lifting etc)? Normal sports are great for your coordination, speed, endurance, fat loss, etc. But is it possible to get all that and some mass?

I say yes:
Legs: Sprints and Jump contests
Pulling muscle: Climbing and wrestling
Pushing muscle: Discus and Javelin throw.
Arms: Tennis

Am I right?

If you're pointing to sportsmen as examples of the sport causing gains, you are forgetting that they pretty much all work out in the gym on top of their sports.
(not to mention most elite athletes have great genes for gaining lean mass as well as possible PEDs but thats a story for another day)

Also most sportsmen are not big. They are just very lean, and a lean 160lbs looks bigger than a less lean 180lbs to the untrained eye.

You won't really gain mass in any sport other than bodybuilding... because they all rather require endurance and strength, and not massive muscles. Massive muscles don't make sense for all usual sports and the body won't develop them in a way as when you explicitly train to do so.

Who else has been casually lifting for a long time with minimal gains ?

I only look slightly better than average and my lifts are all pretty shitty. I don't follow a strict diet, i often miss gym days.

I was wondering if it was possible to get all your RDAs for micronutrients in one single session.

Like, is it possible to absorb such a big amount of vitamins and minerals?

I read something about limited numbers of receptors for various micros (especially calcium, iron or zinc) that limit the capacity of your body to fully absorb said nutrients (bioavailability aside), if taken in large amounts.

Is this meme? Is there no other way to get your micros other than subdivide your meal in smaller ones during the day?

Redpill me on boxing. I have like the perfect body-type for fightning but my family and friends say to not do it because all it will end with is pain and more pain and its not like i have any chance of going competitive starting at 19. Is it that bad?

That said, MMA would be a better choice for self defence. Wider range of moves and the average person can't shoot a takedown or grapple for shit. You can also win a fight without possibly damaging their brain or killing them.

2 years ago I did MDMA almost every weekend for a period of 5 months. Also shitloads of amphetamine and constant weed smoking (marijuana effects serotonin quite a bit)

I´ve been drug free almost 9 months now (no alcohol, no cigarettes, nothing)

Still believe that MDMA did some serious damage to my brain chemistry. Me and my few friends would do fucking retarded doses like 500mg a night. I was so fucked up I was almost always hallucinating badly. MDMA comedown + smoking a joint = full blown deliriant hallucinations

DL, Bent-over row, DB row, Pull-up, Face pulls, Shrugs, various curls

Front squat, OHP, behind-the-neck press, lat raise, front raise, tricep extension

pull-up, chin-up, Face pulls, Shrugs, various curls, barbell hip thrust

I feel I've already got most of the best exercises in there. Looking to maybe include romanian DL (maybe at C or D?). What else am I missing out?

It's almost exactly (apart from the front squats) the routine of that guy in the black shorts that always gets lots of mires here. You may have seen his pics on here.

I think it's an adapted PPL that has arms in there twice per week. It's pretty swell, I can only recommend it.

So I just lifted with free weights instead of machine for the first time yesterday and I didnt feel anything in the muscles, no soreness today when I woke up also compared to what I get when I use machines.

Did I do it wrong? Or does this take time?

Hello /fit/.

I recently started lifting again after a five year break wich has made me skinny again. The reason for this is because i skateboard 2/3 times a week witch burns a lot of calories. I have been skateboarding actively since i was nine and have all ways been in a slim shape so to say.

I think that skateboarding is a good exercise for my legs all though i'm not completely sure about this.

Will lifting two days a week be enough to make it? Can i skip legs? As i basically train my legs and stomach muscles as i skateboard?
