let's have an martial arts threads my friends

I'd just like to start off by saying that among all the real martial arts, boxing is the weakest one and is the most "sport" of all of them followed by greco roman wrestling.

I'd also like to say that grappling trumps striking

I'd like to say that you should do BJJ AND either greco roman or judo so you can learn take downs WHICH ARE IMPORTANT in real hand to hand fights.

caporeia or whatever is effective but it takes too much time to get good at compared to the advantage it gives you in striking.

Be sure to sacrifice chickens to the infinite eyed seal god in Darhanva every tuesday to gain favor with the lords of hand to hand

BASIC TEMPLATE FOR ANY PUSH-PULL SPLIT
Always work compound to isolation as you increase intensity.
>PUSH
>Chest compounds
>Shoulder Compounds
>Isolated shoulders,triceps,chest

Basic goals
>Run an effective total body split over the course of 3 days with the availability to run the split up to twice a week.

My goal is 315 bench, 405 squat, 495 deadlift at 225 lbs.

I'm currently eating 2,000 cal. day with 150 grams of protein and I'm 274 lbs. My lifts are 305 bench, 445 squat, 515 deadlift.

I do highly believe PPL can be used over SS or powerbuilding programs for the major lifts. I just so happen to size my lat strength through a BB row over a deadlift and I measure my leg gains through a cardio session as opposed to a LMAOLegpress. So i've always seen PPL superior to Powerbuilding programs because some of my goals do not revolve around how much I can lift. In your particular case I would recommend a powerbuilding program (Greyskull, SS, or that OmarIsuf program.)

Got some "cauliflower" rice, usually tastes like shit, but used spray oil, salt and pepper and oregano to fry it up, tasted delicious and only 50 calories. Had that with some veg mince, cabbage, broccoli, courgette/zuchini and mushroom curry that I boiled first, only used like 100 calories worth of curry sauce. Was good shit, think whole meal must've only been 300-400 calories at the most.

I hate having to go all the way to the gym 3 times a week just to get a workout, and its expensive as fuck too

If i just buy some adjustable dumbbells, can i get a good workout just from that? I mean there are exersices for every muscle group with dumbbells right, so wouldnt that be fine?

Yes but you might plateau and run out of weight. For example I was looking at the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells, and it goes up to 23.5 kg per dumbbell. I can press 15 kg now, and if I continue training properly, I should be able to press 23.5 kg in like half a year or something.

Also you can't do compound movements like squats or deadlifts on dumbbells.

But I think it's definitely possible. I have considered that before, but I figured if I was to just build a home gym, I would just get a small squat rack and a barbell set.

you can get a good workout with little equipment
you need exercises that require less weight to be strenuous so you don't plateau too soon, and do a shit ton of volume because the work you'll be doing will probably still be submaximal
