Lets talk about the best lift.
Sumo vs conventional, your biggest pull, your stats, weight height, do you prefer sumo or conventional ETC.
>>41292131
My biggest pull was with a trap bar and I did 3 pl8s for 12 reps.
6'2
265
>grip starts to fall behind after 3pl8
>hook grip kills the thumbs
>straps feels like cheating
>mixed grip more like bicep ripped
365lbs x 6 is my max currently. Sumo is fucking stupid.
i was playing with my sumo stance width and setup, since i struggle massivelly off the floor with sumo, and it alost felt like wide stance conventional that actual sumo.
Today applied some Duffin teachings and i think im starting to have this shit figured out. Still not ideal, lats not tight enough, i need to slam my hips more into bar (i will try with another bar thats little bit softer, works much better for that)
I want to get fit

FUCK
HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS
>>41291716
Simple, don't use the leg press, use a barbell like nature intended
Post it
>>41291716
by never locking your legs on a leg press.

Do you wipe down the gym equipment after use?
only if i noticeably sweat on it
sometimes, other times I want people to contract diseases from my swamp-butt. I fuckin put the weights back, though.
No becaue it won't make a difference unless you sweat.
I gotta start doing more cardio, it's just not healthy. I can barely jog a mile.
I've gotten a lot of mixed info online, can I train cardio like any other muscle? Are there special things I have to do? Should I give it rest days?
I'm thinking I'll do cardio on off days, so I got a jump rope and there's a 3 mile round trail nearby I can run on.
Any general consensus on how to get better cardio?
How about doing HIIT? More effective, quicker and less boring than running for 45-60 minutes.

What do you think about vegans fags?
they are admirable people
>>41290917
i was considering going vegan
They are more likely to be traps, so good
My gym buddies and pretty much everyone I know who works out advocates for cheat meals/days. They claim that it prevents your metabolism from slowing down during a cut, which to be sounds like total broscience. I've had a look around and I can't find any actual science/studies backing up. Is cheat days a meme?
It's a meme. Only positive effect is that it's enjoyable.
Stop thinking about diet as a set of rules you impose on yourself to deny yourself joy, it's unhealthy.
Don't have cheat meals because of the bioscience, personally I think they're helpful because if I want to sustain being healthy long term, I don't want to cut out certain good tasting food for the rest of my life (ice cream and pasta is gold), and I find I give into cravings less if I have a certain slot to indulge in them without feeling guilty.
Never go overboard and waste a weeks worth of progress though, eat max a meal or a couple hundred more calories than normal (ie like 500)
However, some people are better off quitting cold turkey because they want more after a day, so just see what works for you op
>>41291243
I had a cheat day today and feel like shit. I've had no problems with food cravings and have been dieting at 1.8k per day until roidbro told me "bruh have a cheat day and eat 3k today, good for metabolism bruh". Never again
Do you breathe at the top or bottom position?
>>41290553
I breathe out while lowering the bar
breath in while pushing and lowering, then breath out while you're at the bottom
I breathe at the top and hold my breath for the set, just like bench press
All my friends tell me I look like a goblin. I don't know if it's my jawline, my height or my posture. Possibly all. Any tips for improving all or at least one of those?

Anyone here try the meat-only diet? Did your health/wellbeing/lifts improve?
That's a guaranteed ticket to heart disease, cancer, diabetes and increased risk of all cause mortality.
However, I have tried a vegan diet and my health has improved.
clogged arteries. ewwwww!!
Meat intake and mortality: a prospective study of over half a million people
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2803089/
>There are various mechanisms by which meat may be related to mortality. In relation to cancer, meat is a source of several multi-site carcinogens, including heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,29-34 which are both formed during high-temperature cooking of meat, as well as N-nitroso compounds.35,36 Iron in red meat may increase oxidative damage and increase the formation of N-nitroso-compounds.37-40 Furthermore, meat is a major source of saturated fat, which has been positively associated with breast41-43 and colorectal cancer.44
>In relation to CVD, elevated blood pressure has been shown to be positively associated with higher intakes of red and processed meat, even though the mechanism is unclear except possibly meat may substituted for other beneficial foods such as grains, fruits or vegetables.45 Mean plasma total cholesterol, low density-lipoprotein cholesterol, very-low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol, and triglycerides were found to decrease in subjects who substituted red meat with fish.46,47 Vegetarians have a lower proportion of arachadonic acid, eicosapentaenoate and docosahexaenoate in platelet phospolipids and higher platelet phospholipids linoleate and antioxidants; such a biochemical profile may be related to decreased atherogenesis and thrombogenesis.48-50
>Red and processed meat intakes, as well as a high risk meat diet, were associated with a modest increase in risk of total mortality, cancer, and CVD mortality in both men and women. In contrast, high white meat intake and a low risk meat diet was associated with a small decrease in total and cancer mortality. These results complement the recommendations by the American Institute for Cancer Research and the World Cancer Research Fund to reduce red and processed meat intake to decrease cancer incidence.44
