what martial arts should I pick up? muay thai seems interesting but it fucks you up in the long run, thinking of just doing basic boxing?

basic self defense, boxing seems good since it's nothing super flashy and knowing how to strike with a good technique seems very useful.

The thing about self defense is that you're not going to box with the other person. If someone is going to attack you they aren't going to be afraid to use attacks to the groin or take you down and kick you while you're down. Unless you're going to be really dedicated to boxing it won't give you a real advantage in a real combat situation.
If you're interested in self defense, you should probably look for self defense classes, but if you want a martial art that is relevant to self defense then muay thai is a good choice and wrestling is a good choice. What you want in self defense is to quickly neutralize the attacker and escape. Ultimately I'd say MMA is the ultimate style of martial arts for self defense because it is the closest to real combat, because it is a combination of striking and wrestling.

I took off my shirt and flexed and a friend asked me if I had scoliosis. Said I either had an extra rib or a flared rib.

I just noticed this and I feel kind of worried.

It protrudes roughly a quarter to a half inch more than the other one and might be responsible for my core sticking out further than my chest.

Is their any way I can fix this? Does anyone here have this?

So I've had a fucking night /fit/. I got invited out by this girl i've been crushin on for a while. She knows and we've been on a date and shit. So, she is out with a couple of her friends at the bar and invites me. The entire time I'm there she is flirting with another guy right the fuck next to me. Apparently she had the intent of hooking me up with one of her friends, but I had no idea and she wasn't flirty or anything. I feel fucking betrayed and like I wanna break some shit, I drove home drunk as fuck and feel like absolute shit. Am I overreacting to the situation that just happened or am i justified in my rage at getting alpha'd on by another guy.

Whats the general consensus on veganism? I hear people say they felt much better physically after having this sort of diet so I'm intrigued to try it out. Been feeling like shit for several years now (exhausted, no energy, etc.) and I'm tired of feeling that way. Don't want to go on anti-depressants so I'm trying everything out. I workout about 3 or 4 times a week. I like steaks, chicken, milk but i'm willing to give it all up. So any experiences or thoughts?

Who here weak bones/joints?
I cant even curl a weight that would do something to my muscles and actually feel it because my wrists just gives up and hurts like a motherfucker. What the fuck do i do? Can i use some wrist straps or something?
Does that shit help?
Also cant squat to ass because my left knee starts to hurt like a motherfucker, can i just do box squats. Do they even build anything?

This shit is fucking pain, i'd prefer to be weaker and to actually be able to lift shit and not turn into dust.

What you need to do is play around with angles and exercises and find what works for you. Identify when and where your pain is on an specific movement would help figure out what you can. If anything you step it down to whatever you can manage and crawl your way up.

Did a doctor tell you have weak joints or something?
