Here we ask others for advice and give moral support to one another if you are too weak to survive solo. We all know losing weight when you are fat is easy if you just reduce calorie intake, literally piece of cake. At the end of the day this is a support general whose goal is to help and motivate the chubby channers who need to lose weight for a number of reason. Please be warned that there are some chronic idiots who post in this general giving horrible advice to troll or to reassure their extremist autism works for themselves, dont bother, always remember calorie intake, if it is lesser than how many calories your body burns you ll be fine.
And remember, if you are a loser when fat you ll still be a loser if you are thin, your weight isnt the problem.

I'm an 18 year old college student and i'm a fat fucking bastard and i hate it i'm 6 foot 1inch at 221 lbs i fucking hate it, i managed to get down to 14 and a half stone using myfitnesspal (counting calories) but i have only gone and put it back on like a fat cunt. At the end of June my friend from Australia who i have not seen in person for two years will be visiting me and were gonna go on a road trip and i really want to be in shape for then. I'm thinking of water fasting but i get cravings that i can't fucking control. Please if you have any suggestions or methods to help please tell me, thank you.

I'm in a pretty bad spot, me and my gf broke up and I lost the pleasure in doing almost everything I do.

I'm very disciplined so I'm not skippin' gym days or anything, it's just that I don't feel the joy I used to, is this okay? I'd say I'm very depressed but still functional.

I see people putting a lot of effort in improving themselves when they are in a situation similar to mine. I might got the wrong idea of it because I'm really putting the effort in the gym, in my professioanl area too, but I just can't get happy about it.

Had periodic depression for over 5 years now and kept thinking the episodes would stop happening but instead they just get worse, being referred to a specialist now since i had a breakdown and hoping to get it sorted

Soy doesn't raise estrogen levels like you've been told. The only studies that has seen estrogen levels going up when consuming soy involves eating over 10 blocks of tofu a day, and nobody does that.
On the other hand, meat and dairy raises estrogen more than soy ever will.

My little brother maxed out on the dumbbells for his dumbbell deadlift at his community college's crappy gym (no barbells, mostly machines). He still has a few more months before he joins me in the Fall at my university gym that actually has barbells. Should I have him increase the reps or sets until then? Maybe have him do straight leg dumbbell deadlifts or leg curls afterwards?

That'd be an option.
You could also go another route and have him do glute bridges and good mornings since he's probably too weak in those areas to max out he'll get some new gains. Could keep deadlifting if he wants.
