How dangerous is football on an amateur level for the brain? Have often do concussions happen and what effect do they have long term?

I joined a team recently to actually make use of my gains, and I am not sure anymore if it is worth it.

I played football for 6 years and I have gotten my belling rung a couple times.

I defiantly don't have depression or any of that other symptoms of concussions as of late, will it happen later in life idk.

I wake up at 4:30am to go to work, get home as late as 6:30pm. Drains the fuck out of me. Only have energy to eat, shower, finish chores and watch a few episodes of weebshit / play a few games of Starcraft. No time / energy to go to the gym. Been losing weight AND gaining inches (kill me). All the fat goes to my ass and thighs which, as a dude, fucks my self esteem. What do? Pic unrelated.

Do any of you see shit similar to this when you close your eyes? Sometimes it's like this, other times it morphs into faces or things, all with a dark purple/red/blue color scheme. I can sometimes will it to look like something.
