I lacked access to a gym for a week, so instead of doing bodyweight I just took the week off. It's been a couple of weeks now and I'm back to going to the gym, but I can't stop overeating. Especially midnight snacks. Sucks too, cause I'm only about 15lbs and 6%bf away from my goal weight.

I know what I'm supposed to be doing, but I can't get over the numerous psychological hurdles. I am a failure of a person. I know I need to 'eat right', I know what foods are good and what are bad, but I can't actually put together a concrete meal plan and I keep making the same fuckups

Wait what Scrambled eggs are even easier than hardboiled eggs. Just grab a bowl, crack 3 eggs into it, whisk and add milk a bit at a time until there is a white "outline" on the mixture (you can see milk on the sides). Then put in microwave full blast for 2 minutes, take out mash up, then put back in for another 2 minutes, if still runny (it shouldnt be at this point) put back in for another 2 minutes, then either eat in bowl with brownsauce/salt or served with the rest of your breakfast.

Remind me why rice is praised so highly when it is literally just calories. It provides basically no protein or fats, and no micronutrients. Why do people eat it and tell me to eat it?

Which form of row do you do and why?

I started my 5x5 with TBar rows but I want to switch over to seated cable bc the greater ROM

can I switch to cable or should I do barbell rows instead of tbar so I still have to use my lower back?

Row is my favorite lift.

I do a bent-over barbell high row (elbows out, bringing bar to just under my shoulders), as well as a dumbbell row with a neutral/hammer grip and the bell comes in line with my solar plexus. The high row gets a little more upper back and rear delt (similar to a face pull) and the dumbbell row targets lat.

I also do pullups and shrug, which are close cousins.

It's frowned upon by brainwashed Americans largely due to the way they're brought up.

The whole "pledging allegiance" every morning and being told you can be anything you want to be provided you stay true to yourself and don't cheat is the reason.

Obviously in reality most of life is pure blind luck, but the remainder is massively helped along if you lie, cheat, and bullshit your way up in life. Just look at your president, and for the record, I have no issue with Trump.

Then because so many places, like here in the UK, import so much of American culture, that attitude spreads over here too. Again, I have no issue with us importing American culture. It works great. Take music for example - the US invents a genre, the UK makes it good, the US takes it back and makes it a bit better, both sides merge, everyone is happy.

But the downside is people look down on the likes of steroid use.

I can't be bothered going over the same old arguments, but the obvious one is "cheating".

If someone said to you "I'm flying from New York to London" would you accuse them of "cheating" because they didn't decide to swim?

Unless you literally are cheating by doing it as a professional sportsperson (though it's rampant even there) there is no valid moral reason why steroids are "bad".

Again, I also think it's jealousy. Which is madness when you realise anyone can achieve a body like Zyzz with some time, effort, knowledge, and gear.

How does weight cutting for MMA work?

Lets say there are two people who weight 180 lbs.

One guy has 20% bodyfat and the other has 15%. Which of the two would be able to cut the most weight without dying?

I've been told walking around with more fat is better because its excess weight but now I hear its better to walk around with less fat because muscle stores more water than fat and weight cutting is all about dehydration.
