I have a pool party in 7 days. Is there any manipulation I can do to look a little more pumped/lean by then? I was thinking doing a 24hr fast with a glycogen depletion workout and then load up on carbs right after, before going to the party.
yes, carb load is legit. do it
don't fast, just go lmaonocarbz and load up the day before
>>42837118
The thing is I'm on a high carb low fat diet (like 500+ grams of carbs a day) and have been on that for months. I'm afraid if I go low carb high fat I might mess with my physique because I have no idea how my body will react. Your glycogen stores should be depleted after a 24hr fast with some exercise right?

widen your grip. is your pinky touching the ring on the bar, or your index finger?

ANSWER ME OP
>>42836819
Switch to high bar. Fixed my elbows instantly.
Low bar has a lot going for it and I miss it, but squatting high bar comfortably is better than squatting low bar and not having full use of my arms. Working out is supposed to leave you stronger, not impaired.
Just ran the 6 Week Kizen Bench Peaking Program LETTER FOR LETTER. Mobility exercises, prehab, active recovery, wrist wraps, narrow to wide grips. Started with a 210 lb bench. Today ended the cycle with a max attempt and I fucking FAILED 210 on the way to 2plaet.
Stats:
20 y/o
5'10"
176 lbs
2 years training
Squat: 295
Conv Dead: 440
Trapbar Dead: 450
Strict OHP: 150
What the fuck gives, am I doomed? HOW CAN I GET MY MAN CARD AT 3PLAET BENCH WHEN I CANT EVEN FUCKING HIT 225
>>42836765
a peaking program is designed to make you efficient at an exercise at high % 1rms and dissipate fatigue from higher volume training
your problem is probably not efficiency, it's lack of upper body muscle mass, so just do a hypertrophy block with lots of volume and gain weight
>>42836785
Any recommended programs? Difficult for me to tell which hypertrophy programs are bullshit for enhanced lifters versus legit splits for naturals
>>42836765
Get on the sheiko program you fagot.
I've been doing weighted dips for some time and thought it's a great exercise. But thanks to /fit/ I'm now scared to do them. Will they sooner or later ruin my shoulders?
nope if you use the correct form
>>42836671
i think op means if u dont get injured then u must be using good form?
>>42836728
No, I want to know if weighted dips are bad for my shoulders
So this fucking excercise fucked up my knee.
Everytime I do them I feel knee pain, but lunges and bb squats work fine. am I retarded or am I just not meant to do this excercise?
Your knee is traveling past your toes most likely.
>>42836633
>>42836650
this and maybe your knee is bending slightly inward. Very common for this exercise. I had to correct that myself and the knee pain has gone away.

Let's be real:99% of men who lift have "being more attractive to women" as one of the reasons they do it.
Yep
>>42836361
it definitely started out that way, but now i love it and do it for myself
>>42836361
I actually started lifting because i got tired of being constantly bullied
So i supposed getting bigger and stronger would help me defend myself and i was right
Fuck women
How you holding up, /fit/?

I'm already using liquid chalk and alternating grip, but the knurling still cuts into my callouses some and even then I'm struggling to keep a hold of it. Wat do?
if u still cant hold the bar with mixed grip and chalk then u have a serious grip problem
the easiest solution is to just use straps but i would definitely work on forearm and grip strength
>>42836205
Do farmers walks, static holds, that kind of thing.
Or just work at whatever weight you can double overhand.
>>42836242
>if u still cant hold the bar with mixed grip and chalk then u have a serious grip problem
It's more that the knurling hurts my hands. I'm aware I sound like a little bitch, but even with callouses the bar keeps cutting into my hands and that's why I can't keep a grip.
>i would definitely work on forearm and grip strength
Will do, I'll try some of the stuff that >>42836251
recommended. Thanks.
