>do keto for 3 months
>hey it's E3 week, I can have some junk for a day
>get some chips I used to like
>they taste like nothing
>sip some mt dew
>it tastes like nothing
>get a juicy cheeseburger with fries
>the burger tastes good
>buns don't taste like anything
>fries don't taste like anything
>cola tastes like nothing
how common is losing your "sweet tooth" when you do keto? I really looked forward to my cheat day but that was so disappointing desu
>>41814375
sugar is not good for you.
keto is retarded tho. carbs are ok in moderation.
>>41814395
>keto is retarded tho.
Why?
>>41814432
Not that guy but if you are an athlete you need carbs. Simple as that. Get them from natural sources like potatoes quinoa and some rice perhaps. Fruit as well. That's what bOthers me the most about keto is the restriction on fruit. I know you can have some and mostly berries but fruit has so many postitive things associated with it that limiting it that much seems insane.
>after-workout shake immediately at the gym
>just whey and oat bran
>50g protein 50g carbs
>start adding in 10g of fructose just to get some really quick digesting carbs
am I retarded for this? it doesn't even taste good, I just figured a little bit of quick carbs would be good? is it a stupid idea?
>>41814349
explain why you think you need 50g carbs and why you think 50g carbs is a "little bit"
>>41814349
You could drink the fructose on the way to your locker to bridge the time until your body digests the shake.
Also you need to take BCAAs inbetween sets or your body will get them by dismantling muscle and your whole workout was futile.
>>41814372
Every source I've read says right after a workout is the perfect time to take in carbs to aid in muscle recovery.
>why you think 50g carbs is a "little bit"
It's only 200kcal.
Also it's oat bran so it's pretty good for satiety as well.
I'm thinking about going on a PPL spilt going 3 times a week. is this enough to make progress (as i'm only hitting muscle groups once a week).
>>41814105
why not full body 3x a week?
starting strength is this. just do more volume for each lift
>>41814105
Frequency is really more important than sets and reps.
>>41814105
If just 3 times a week any 5x5 variant with some accessories would be the best choice.
Thread for all vegans and people interested in the vegan lifestyle.
Vegetarians allowed as long as they don't push their diets.
Meat eaters not allowed. (pic related)

How about ignoring it if you donĀ“t want to see it?

This, I don't care about your milk and chicken threads, so you don't care about 1 (one!) vegan thread on this entire board.
>40g protein

>unflavored whey

>>41813747
Where can I buy unflavored whey that is actually decent, and artificial flavoring that is decent?
>>41813769
bro artificial flavoring is worse for you than actual sugar.

I see functional strength as a reason for why people lift. So, what jobs would require this supposed functional strength?
Former cop here. Honestly not much functional training required.. if you have to restrain someone it's all adrenaline, not really something you need to train for just have to be willing to get stuck in.
I'd say firefighters and military mostly require functional movements.
>>41812996
as a surgeon, posture is everything when operating. That's why I make sure to stay fit and keep my posterior chain strong, hence why I take care of my diddles. our attendings yell at everyone else about their posture but I'm spared.
>>41813033
Ah, I see. But wouldn't you have to use functional strength if you have to restrain a obese or a giant muscular dude?
So what's your gym reception desk like anons

Gotta love a gym that gives its members a testboost preworkout with some t h i c c braphogs

I do bench presses, bicep curls, etc, and slowly but steadily increase the weight, most of which I use dumbells. Am I doing this wrong, and also how much should I be focused on diet. Thanks ((and sorry for my newfaggery))

if you're resorting to GBS you've already past the point of no return
I'm going to start seeing a chiropractor once or twice a week and see if I can't fix my lateral pelvic tilt. It's bad enough that I can't squat or deadlift without hurting myself, I can't hold form so I'm hoping this chiro will put me back into shape. Anyone else have this problem?
a chiropractor? seriously?
see an orthopedist and then a physical therapist ffs
>>41811671
Would that be the best route then? I'm starting a higher paying job soon so I may be able to afford more extensive treatment. I figured I chiropractor would be the most cost effective option.
yeah don't go to a chiro, maaaaybe if youre in straya but even then...
You need to go see a physical therapist
Is it possible to fix this or am i just fucked?
>>41811555
depending on if it's actually a problem with your bone structure, you can improve it anyway by increasing foot supination and training your hip abductors
>>41811577
Are you saying I gotta use the pussy machine
>>41811577
do this plus stretch your acl. get a foam roller and roll on the outside of you thigh. hurts like a bitch but helps a lot.
