who here has ceased their vices? i mean stopped cold turkey nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and other substances to improve oneself.
When you eat healthy and workout and seek self improvement? how did it turn out for you?
Did it work out or did you slink back into degeneracy?

i did all of this within 2 months. i was so tired all the time but at the same time i was very aware of the world around me. i had lost 25 lbs and felt better as a person but i was very pissed off about what i had been ignoring and had no outlet in which to express my frustration.

10 years ago I quit cigarettes (4 packs a day), alcohol and coffee. I didn't go back because it would be to hard to do it again. Now I am quitting carbs and sugar. I have lost 25 lbs. in 3 weeks. But mainly because I think carbs and sugar are tuning us into idiots.

I recently got fit. And dress much better (tailored clothes). Also have been working on other minor physical and personalityl issues.

Figured i would test out my new self by getting out of my old comfort zone.

So i started striking up convos with really HOT women. So far, all 4 i asked for thier phone number gave me a real one and I sent a few texts and got replies.

The numbers were gotten to go out somewhere (not necessarily a date, i never complimented these women or showed interest besides giving them the "eye fuck"). Maybe twonof th we talked about sex (in general) before i got their numbers.

Did I make it' /fit/? I still feel like my old self (fat ugly out of shape nervous anxious) even though inwas able to get these attractive womens phone numbers.

How do i fix my brain to start thinking like i have made it?

Anyone here a member of LA fitness?

How is it? Are there initiation deals at all or does that vary by location?

Lol fitness first? I switched to WSC on Wisconsin Ave. If you're transferring there from another gym there's about no initial fee and only 20/month. There's like a $60 yearly fee though.

they have a crap ton of equipment but some locations do indeed have more VARIETY than others, but no matter where you go, youre bound to be satisfied. switched from goodlife to LA and im not disappointed.

I've been to two LA Fitness while traveling, did a week pass at each and both were terrible. Free weights everywhere/completely disorganized, staff didn't give a shit, plates scattered.
It looked like a panel out of one of SIR's comics. Do not recommend.

Hello, this is serious post.

I began doing cardio for the first time in my life (32). I now do up to 45 minutes at least 5 times a week burning at least 600 calories per visit to the gym.

I'm not sure if the difference is huge, but I do feel better, I am a different kind of hungry (stomach growls for food, not eating for pleasure), higher physical esteem...

But I really just want a flat side and I am not seeing that happen. I want rid of the love handles. I am 6'3" and I believe it is in part to my hips/bone structure being higher than most other men. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I eat well, generally look at nutrition labels. Anything from a mother or the ground. Veggies, fruits, fish, etc. Though I am not a food nut.

I would greatly appreciate any advice for flattening my sides. Also would like any personal stories if you've dealt with this.

Hi /fit/ I need some help. I've somewhat recently went vegan (3months ago) which was the best decision in my life. Lost tons of weight, astma is basically gone and have gotten really nice skin from it however i'm having trouble maintaining my weight.

I'm a DYEL who was obese not too long ago i'm having big trouble eating enough food. Anyhow do any of you know good high protein/KCAL smoothies that dont taste too bad? Thinking about a 1000-1500kcal 50-70g protein smoothie/drink or whatever to call it. Also all weight gain/weight maintenance tips welcome!!

Literally any type of nut/nut butter has about 500-650 kcal and 25 g protein per 100 g, so if everything else nutrition wise is met, literally just eat 200 g pb off the jar

Considering switching to healthy vegan diet has proven to be helpful against both acne/bad skin and astma and that both of those problems and it being the only lifestyle change I did I do find it extremely probable that the diet change were the cause.
