Marginally worse to be fat in terms of appearance, marginally more difficult to get out of being skelly.
Neither is good though, especially if taken to extremes.
I'm just moving on from skelly to regular skinny after a few weeks of gym/diet, but I feel was much better than being fat. When you're wearing clothes you just look normal anyway, keep facial aesthetics, still not entirely unfit, e.g can go for a jog. None of which is the case if you're fat.

I have just gotten into running and it's started out good but I'm coming into a problem. When I run more than a mile my arches start to really burn to the point where running is incredibly difficult. I was told I have high arches and while I bought a pad for my shoes it doesn't help enough.
Do you have any suggestions for a shoe or insole that helps with this?

You're probably just not used to running. Give it time and if it still happens after say a month (assuming you run a couple of times a week) then see a doctor. Could be a myriad of reasons.
Incidentally, when I got into running again (having run a lot as a child/teenager) I kept getting people telling me I'd fuck up my feet if I didn't buy proper running shoes. Being a stingy bastard, I looked up whether the benefits of running shoes are a myth instead. They are.

I've been a pothead my whole life. Exercising while high feels incredible.
The only downside is it can induce an unhealthy relationship with food. The munchies are a very real thing.
Marijauna is great. I never understand the hangups this board has about it.
You can even use marijauna before lifting I find it helps with breathing and focus (though it should be vaped or eaten, not smoked, before a workout, IMHO)
Also - anything that helps you keep your hands off booze is A-OK in my book.

I find I often don't get hungry unless I smoke. This actually can help with appetite control - just wait to smoke until you need to eat.. And like anything else - you must control your portions and what you eating. I never munch out on junk though always lean proteins, whole grains, and unprocessed cheeses, etc.
