So I only managed 5/5/4/5/4 at 80kg today (dyel novice Etc. Etc.)
I had to actually drop it onto safety 3rd and 5th set.
It might be due to lack of rest (unusually hot in my country at the moment and my room is around 40 degrees when I go to bed), but also my warmup seemed a bit excessive today.
So Im doing strong lifts, and the warmup it gave me was:

>5x40
>5x60 (this felt like more of an actual set)
>3x70
Isn't going up to 87.5% of my max weight a bit much for a warmup? At the end of it I felt like i'd done a proper set.
If the warmup seems fine I'll just make sure I get proper reat for Saturday and make sure I smash it out then.

Add meat, dairy and eggs to your meal.
The only good vegan protein sources I know that isn't tofu are quinoa, nuts, oats, mushrooms, etc.
So I eat meat. I eat chicken so I get 5HTP, tuna so I get omega 3 and eggs.for the cholesterol/taste/cheap protein.

I smoked for ten years, OP, started in high school, quit last year. I smoked a pack every two days, approximately. What I did to quit was cut down on the frequency of my cigarettes, from 10-12/day down to 8 per day, then 5, then 3, then 2, then eventually none. It took me about 6 weeks, but it wasn't nearly as taxing on my system to quit that way, and i also find my cravings aren't that bad either.

/fit/, I like squatting, but for fucks sake, MY FUCKING KNEES. I'm only at 2plate and I'm already dealing with some serious pain in my knees when I squat, and I have mild pain all the time now in them. Should I stop squatting? Will my knees ever recover or is this shit permanent wear and tear?

I had the exact same problem, I even took a break from squatting to see if it would fix it and when I did my knee still hurt. You're most likely putting too much pressure on your knees when you go up from a squat. What helped me was really focusing on my feet, particularly make sure my heels stayed on the ground at the minimum. you should be able to keep your feet completely flat, but fixing bad form is a challenge. Go down some weight, make sure your form is right, then work your way back up

I pretty much stopped squatting and switched to leg press because of knee issues. No problems doing deadlifts, strangely enough.
