Need advice quick /fit/

>45 mins away from gym for summer
>tore ACL so won't be doing lower body work that isn't bodyweight
>considering working out at home with limited equipment available

So, is the following enough for a well rounded upper body routine?
>dumbbells, 5-25lbs in 5lb increments
>45lb weighted vest
>dip station
>pull up bar

That sounds sufficient for a routine while you get better, although I'd recommend that if you can go to the gym, to do so, and work with machines on your legs, as opposed to freeweights.

Step 2: ignore what sticky says about protein, it's 80g if you are just doing cardio and don't care about muscle, if you want to build muscle it's 1.2-1.8 g/kg of body weight
Step 3: download myfitnesspal, use it
Step 4: start doing light cardio and if you want to build muscle start on a beginning weight training plan after joining a gym, avoid planet fitness
Step 5: come back to us when you're a less fat, dyel

Literally who cares. He's insecure incarnate. He hasn't held a job in a decade and plays wow all day while convincing himself that deadlifting twice a month makes him the biggest badass of all time. The only reason he's saying aesthetics don't matter is he's promised to get lean at least 5 times in the last few years and has managed to only get fatter in that time. I lose more fat when I'm not even trying than he does when putting maximum effort in.

$130 is a pretty good investment on a nice pair of running shoes that will last a long time (for what you're doing) and keep you injury free. My $.02.

You can still do a great workout over the summer with that equipment (although you might want to buy more weight plates).


I know people on /fit/ have a hard time accepting this, but getting the physique you want doesn't require a lot of expensive equipment.

Also, if it gets that bad, you could always just go to a local gym.
