What's /fit/'s thoughts on personal trainers? Are they a meme or do they actually help you improve your form and make better gains? I don't have any gym bros that are helpful.

not OP but i have been lurking here and you seem to have answered question for me. I do little exercising at home and have avoided going to gym because i have no experience with forms or equipment and don't want to snap my shit or embarrass myself. At home i just do situps,pushups, and bunch of shit with pullup door mount. Is it expensive to get a personal trainer?

i was 8% bodyfat 4 months ago
since then ive quit ssris and went to mental hospital multiple times, now i have no discipline at all and i am 20% bodyfat
i keep trying to do lyle mcdonald PSMF now, then binge after 1 or 2 days and repeat
i also keep missing lifting sessions and have like no energy
what should i do?

This weekend I went to visit my grandfather. I'm a height to my grandfather but I noticed that my build is a lot narrower than his. His wrists are a lot thicker than mine, he's a lot broader and stuff like that. I'm 18 and I'm just starting to grow a beard and stuff like that. I'm basically a late bloomer and I'm kinda worried that I'm going to be stuck like this forever. How do I make sure my frame fills out before I stop growing?

Does the order in which you eat your meal matter?

For instance:

Say we have a dinner of potatoes, chicken, and a salad

In my head it makes sense to eat the carbs first, so your body will utilize them and not have the opportunity to turn it into fat, whereas if they're last, your body has already gained the calories it needed to stop hunger from the vegetables and protein, and the carbs get stored into fat

Am I over thinking this, or does this logic make sense?

it doesn't really matter man, your body isn't going to care what order, digestion is a slow process anyway so the amount of time difference isn't going to noticeably affect anything.
