odd way of spelling hurling

THIS is what peak performance looks like, you may not like it, but if you even so much as looked at him the wrong way he would articulately disassemble you.

Go ahead and try to take him down, he laughs at you, at how you lifeforms were created as a joke for his kind.

His hide has the strongest leather in this dimension and can survive in any environment while you struggle to lift less than a ton.

Been lifting months now, started off doing starting strength and moved on a 4 day split.

Does it even look like I lift in clothing yet? (it's evident when the clothes are off)

Lifts are currently 220 pound bench, 440 pound deadlift and 315 x 12 back squat no belt or chalk

Just want some advice to help me to bulk up a bit. Eating around 3600-3800 calories a day

I had mild sciatica for half a year after being stupid on a lift, lifted carefully with a bit reduced weight on lower body lifts during that time and then it went away. Point is, YMMV.

Rippetoe explained it like this. If you want to lift heavy weight, why would you lift light weight for reps?

your thoughts on crossfit?

other than the community, the too often complained about pull up, shitty form resulting from doing things afap and bad instructors the workout routines and general method seam pretty solid. if you aim for general "fitness" of course. I'd have trouble finding two sports other than oly lifting and gymnastics, the two that crossfit draws upon the most, that give better great balanced physiques and teach real functional strength. high intensity training for most workouts is great too since it improves both strength and endurance.

This, but if your goal ia to get better at liftinh and gtmnastics, then do lifting and gymnastics.

Can I get big just using machines?
If I do a decent routine but just use machines will I be alright? I know free weights are better but will machines work?
I just wanna get thicc and lean

>>41921651
free weights aint necessary better even though they're are my only lifts since i got into a homegym.
Free weights have the advantage of involving stabilizers muscles and enhancing proprioception.

Still can get big with machines, know a guy who almost only use them. Just know to fully work your body then
>>
>>41921677
This is the redpill on machines. If you don't like free weights, don't use them.

My diet is shit because I hate cooking and homecooked meals and after 6 months I've realized that you literally can't get by if you hate cooking. Is that true for cardiofags as well? Fuck.
>inb4 let your taste adjust
I ate nearly nothing but homecooked meals until I moved out of the house for college and I hated them the entire time

How do you test your 1 Rep max? I plan on not lifting until now until wed-thurs to recover as much as possible then pick a weight and try it, if i dont do it lower it by 5, etc.
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
do 3 rep maxes then put them in the calculator

the difference would probably be 1 lb or so, and its much safer
>>
>>41920441
No, that's wrong. Don't fail a rep if you can avoid it.

My max squat is 455. I hit that by warming up like this.

bodyweight squats x 10
135x8
225x5
315x2
365x1
405x1
435x1
445x1
455x1

The most I had ever done prior to that day was 415, so I had to really kind of feel it out. Don't start really high, fail reps, then have to back down. Failing reps is dangerous, teaches you bad habits, and is demoralizing.

front is most leg intensive, least hip
