How hard is it to lose weight and get swole past age 30?
I know its possible to maintain physical fitness if you start young, but what if you start later in life?
Motivational pics and stories welcome.
>>41991792
Not quite 30+, but I went from 420+ lbs. at age 27 to 235 lbs. by age 28.
It can be done. After 30, I'm just gonna jump on that test.
steroids
Every single fit oldguy i know is ether a crazy long endurance runner or on so much gear hes basically in puberty. Sometimes both

Posted in another thread. I'm 33 now. Did this at 32. Still maintaining. Wasn't that hard. But I wanted it. Badly.
Tea drinkers get in here.
What kinds of tea do you drink? What's the best kind to drink for health purposes?
I drink green tea, i dont really now that much about tea so please enlighten me.
>>41991676

dubs, a thumbnail, and traps on fit
2000 replies incoming you dont need mine, sage
Just train legs and upper back to make your waist look smaller. The rest is skin and hair care.
I had this saved for a while but I don't know if it has any merit
It was my birthday 5 hours ago...
My birthday marks 90 days since I started my journey.
Here's to progress.
Congrats bro!
Losing that much weight is really a big deal in that span of time. Keep it up!

Nice progress. Hopefully you're doing some form of strength training
twigboi here, i'm not really looking to get ripped, at least not yet, but i'm extremely underweight (195cm and about 55kg) and for the first time in my life it's actually starting to affect my health
i've been monitoring my caloric intake (been trying to get at least 2000 but i go over when i can) but it's extremely uncomfortable, i have to eat so much i can feel my tiny baby atrophied stomach stretching, i've been regularly getting cramps, and a few days ago i ate so much i puked, just to get over 2000
i have no idea where to go from here. i think maybe trying to focus on calorically dense foods, so that i don't have to eat as much to get enough calories, would help. is this true, and if so, what kind of foods should i focus on?
i'm aware that if i keep this up for a time it'll just get easier to eat more, but it's going to be really difficult to do that if it's this uncomfortable for much longer
eat icecream dude, it's incredibly calorie dense and not that filling. eat a pint of ben and jerry's and you've already got like 1300.
I wish I had your problem.
You are aware that if you puke you don't get the calories right? Stop doing that
Eat a lot of nuts and olive oil

I am a 27/m poo in loo. Would there be any hope if I start working out? Should I even bother?
I am 5'7"
182 lbs.
>>41991227
It'll be an uphill battle but i think if you work hard and are dedicated you can definitely achieve your goals.
27 is not too late to start getting /fit/.
what >>41991227 said, you're still in your testosterone peak and gains are going to be pretty easy on your first year of lifting.
Just remember it won't cure your autism, won't change the fact that you're ugly, and if you're doing it for girls you are probably never going to make it.

was arnold natty or only half natty?
Serious replies only.
>>41990561
0 natty.
1 needle rule.
>>41990561
Arnold was not natty at any point in his professional career.
I don't care if he said "hurr I only did dbol in the off season." That's just the build his mythos - dude was juiced as much as any other bb'r of his era.
Arnold was def 100% natty. I heard he smoked weed once and that he is numero uno.
I've been lurking this board for a while now trying to get into it but it's been hard since you all seem to be interested in lifting/bulking and I'm more of a trailrunning kind of guy. Any other runners out there? How much do you run a week? Do you race?
Shameless self-bump
>>41990528
nobody on this board does cardio
>>41990528
Hey, im just here for solidarity.
I jog about about 10 km a week (barefoot for my weakass ankles), usually after heavy lifting sessions.
I enjoy running, but I wouldn't call myself a runner.
>Comfy feels
What do you have planned for the week?
>>41990527
>Comfy feels
>What do you have planned for the week?
It's a long weekend and it just started so I've got 3 shitty days before I get to go back to work
>>41990543
Monday off?
Its only the third though
>>41990527
I'm going camping later this week with some really good friends. I'll probably spend the 4th of July with my family
Yesterday I went mountain climbing and thanks to my autism to not give up I spent the whole day to reach the top and back. Now I can barely walk. Do you have any advice on what can be done to "heal" faster? I plan on staying home all weekend anyway, can I expect results until Monday?
15mg of oxy helps me after leg day
>>41990492
Take an anti-inflammatory, and git gud for next time. Results? After 1 half day of walking up a mountain? nah. Do it over and over again for a year and you can expect results.
>>41990516
By results I mean being able to walk normally again, but getting huge legs.
I don't understand how fat people even work.
I never weighed above 180 but without much fat. It's a pretty much average weight for my height. But then I know that there are people that are shorter than me or same height that weigh like 280-310 pounds.
I don't even understand.
That's like having a bar with 2 plates on it on your shoulders 24/7. Like, I could do a bunch of squats with that extra weight and I will feel exhausted, maybe even get doms.
I can't imagine how it could be comfortable to walk, breath, sleep, fuck and so on carrying all that extra weight.
>>41990278
Your legs adapt to the weight. I'm at 300 now, down from 370, and my calves are bigger than some people's quads.
The other part of the equation, is that you can get used to quite a bit. I have a touch of dermatotillomania (Skin picking); I have, quite literally, torn skin off my feet to the point that I leave little blood dots on the floor, then gone for a 1 hour walk. It never stops hurting, but after a while the hurt just becomes your new baseline.
It's like that being overweight. What your body cant adapt to just becomes the new normal. You stop having anything to compare it to, so all the problems just become baseline to you. You just don't know what comfortable really is.
>>41990278
It's really painful. I used to work at Walmart when I was my biggest, and gained even more weight due to eating at the deli daily, and I was always in intense pain. My back, shoulders, feet, legs, everything. I was always blasting pain killers and never really got used to it.
Being fat sucks. I'm down to 220 and still feel around the same, I hope once I hit a healthy weight I'll feel amazing due to my tolerance of carrying this weight around all day.
Post pics of current body OP
I'm a 165lb skinny fat and I think I have diastasis recti.
Pic related is me lying down and half trying to sit up. I tried finding pictures online but I couldn't find any that are more dramatic as mine
Can I get rid of this with core exercises ? I think sit ups would make it worse
>>41990235
get rid of it by eating less calories
>>41990235
that looks completely fucking normal for a skinny fat
thats just the way abs look when you're flexing laying down/crunching
you have nothing to worry about, other than being slightly fat and needing to gain muscle
>>41990235
Do you know what diastasis recti is?
