I'm eating at 500-700 deficit and walk 10 km a day, is it possible to lose at least a bit with this?
Went low carb lads, nothing I want more now than to murder a pizza
tonight its chicken thighs
>>42046957
yes
How long did it take before you got to see results?
Skelly here and keen to hear your stories
Been lifting for 2 months and loving it
>>42046899
As a skelly it took me about 6 months to visually see improvement.
>>42046899
If you're loving it there's no problem
Started as a 6'2" 150 lb Auschwitz survivor, I saw pretty good gains 6-8 months in, at about 175-180 pounds
Still look like a fucking twink at 190 though
>>42046932
yeah no problem, but just keen for the results
im 155 lb from 130 just 6 months ago, lifts going up, having fun, small improvements in my frame
being tall is a bit of a curse, 6'2 too
How much sleep do you get per night /fit/? I've been getting 3-4 hours a night for a while now
>>42046862
around 7, but I've been stressed out about work for a while. I usually aim for 9-10 hours.
>>42046862
6-8 depending on if I wake up with a raging boner because all this fucking abundant test that jerking off doesn't get rid of
i wake up with the sun
Why didn't you listen to me?
What?
I did and I lost nearly 100lbs within a year
Lost 20 lbs since I started lifting through IF, now im maintaining. IF is truly amazing for cutting. Fasted cardio and keto/low carb on non-lifting days is basically cheat mode for fat loss.
Did the fasting directly made me lose weight? I dont know. I do know that I lost weight by doing IF, whether I ate a deficit or the fasting was responsible doesnt matter to me.
Friendly reminder to non-vegetarians to actually revise their diet in order to get at least 40% of their protein intake from plants and no more than 1/3 from meats.
Also don't forget to eat your bread.
>The largest food group that contributed to plant-based protein was bread. Bread is a staple in Dutch breakfast and lunch.
Leucine is speculated to be important, especially for athletes indulging on plant-based diets (i.e. strict vegetarians). Leucine is mostly found in egg whites, soy protein isolate, spirulina and moose meat

Take-home point for manlets:
>Protein needs do not appear to depend on body weight or amount of lean body mass. Therefore, protein recommendations expressed as g/kg/d may underestimate protein needs for smaller athletes.
Take-home point for women:
>Women tend to eat less protein than men (108 versus 90 g/d), but likely need the same absolute amount.
>>42046405
The recommendation to space your proteins evenly in four meals doesn't deviate from previous researches concerning the optimal per-meal protein intake as far as muscle protein synthesis is concerned.
>Clin Nutr. 2016 Apr 7. pii: S0261-5614(16)30018-8. doi: 10.1016/j.clnu.2016.04.002
>We found that more frequent consumption of meals containing between 30 and 45 g protein/meal produced the greatest association with leg lean mass and strength.
>>https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3595342/
>Clin Nutr. 2013 Apr; 32(2): 309–313.
>Several recent publications indicate that the maximum stimulation of muscle protein fractional synthetic rate occurs with intake of 20 to 30 gms protein. This finding has led to the concept that there is a maximal anabolic response to protein intake with a meal, and that the normal amount of protein eaten with dinner will generally exceed the maximally-effective intake of protein.
>We conclude that there is no practical upper limit to the anabolic response to protein or amino acid intake in the context of a meal.
The maximum recommended intake doesn't deviate from previous recommendations
>https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16779921
>Considerable debate has taken place over the safety and validity of increased protein intakes for both weight control and muscle synthesis
>A suggested maximum protein intake based on bodily needs, weight control evidence, and avoiding protein toxicity would be approximately of 25% of energy requirements at approximately 2 to 2.5 g x kg(-1) x d(-1), corresponding to 176 g protein per day for an 80 kg individual on a 12,000kJ/d diet. This is well below the theoretical maximum safe intake range for an 80 kg person (285 to 365 g/d).
It's suggested that sleep may be optimized for muscle protein synthesis (pic).
>BCAA/leucine supps and "slow release" protein powders sales boosting in 3, 2, 1....
But your body can absorb more of the animal based protein than plant based
Fuck off.
Started my diet yesterday and it's going great. Already feeling my tits fly off. Time for a little treat for being so good all dayyyy yesterdayyyy hehe yumyum

>>42045759
Get a job, or a hobby, or a girlfriend, or even just leave the house for a few hours a day. There's absolutely no reason you should be doing it 2-3 times a day. Once maybe. But c'mon bruh.

what do you mean by 'workout'?
6 days a week and I'm also on gear but lie about it here.
>Start using the leg press.
>After 2 sets this guy approaches me.
>"How much until you're done?" He ask.
>"4 sets and im done" i reply.
>"Linsten can we alternate?" he say.
>Now, i usually do 6 set on the leg press. The first 3 with only one leg, and the other 3 with both.
> So i was 1 set to finish the individual leg part and i kinda needed a break, so i want to tell him that i need 1 set and he can have the leg press all for him.
>"Now i just need to do my le-" and he start walking away like an impatient piece of shit.
>he go 10 meters away and he start to look at me with anger for the rest of the exercise because he probably thinks that i don't want to alternate the machine.
>"Fuck that guy" i think and i choose do to all of the sets (both one leg/two legs) as slow as possible.
>After im done i approach him and tell him what i wanted to tell him before.
>He says to be more clear next time so that i don't waste his time.
>Tell him to actually listen to people next and wish a good day because he surely gave me one.
>Hear a silent fuck off wile im leaving.
