Just do compound upper body sets. Specific neck workouts are not effective and dangerous. Also genetics.

I'm trying 5x7 right now sans warmup sets, switching from a 3x7 then previously 3x5 but I've never got as much out of my legs in strength and especially size as most fitizens I've seen over the past few years

I pulled it during barbell rows - I think I did look to the right when doing it for some reason, I think I was following some commotion happening on the machines. I don't remember what it was because I just felt a sharp pain and it was all I could do to finish the set without shouting or dropping the barbell.
