I got way too into them in Highschool and they definitely didn't do me any good. Fucked up my posture and hip mobility from sitting too much, made me a skelly cause they'd distract me and I'd forget to eat meals, made me a social outcast cause I wouldn't hangout with anyone ever and made my grades slip cause I would rather play vidya than do homework. If you can play them in moderation (1-2 hrs/day) they're fine, but they're designed to be addictive and have you playing them all day so it's a slippery slope. Luckily I managed to pull myself away from them in my senior year of highschool and I managed to get my grades back up and get into a good school. I'm still sorting out the other problems they caused me though.

I've failed my goals entirely and I don't know where to go from here. Help?

Two months of bulking, followed by one month of cutting. Started at 154 lbs, went to 165 lbs and currently 158 lbs. The aim was to have a decent/normal physique and set the basis for an indefinite clean bulk. Yet here I am, with an uninspiring amount of muscle and still fat. Although I've learned a lot and would do it differently starting over, I just don't' know where to pick things up now.

I really wanted to achieve 10% body fat, and at the very least approach otter mode and go from there, but I'm really just cutting down to nothing anyway. I'm in the middle of failure, really. So yeah, finish my cut or just cleanbulk from now on? :/

It takes years and years and years (assuming you stay natural and don't inject hormones in your body). Just eat and lift weights, live a healthy lifestyle and don't preoccupy yourself with trivial shit like bodyfat percentages. Save that shit for 5-6 years later. Keep making strength gains and your body composition will follow. Learn how to properly plan your nutrition. Learn how to periodize your training. Milk out those noob gains on some kind of starting program untill you reach a respectable strength base (Usually 1/2/3/4 (OHP, bench, squat, deadlift). Track your progress, and increase either frequency or volume.

How do you guys stay consistently motivated? I want to lose weight but sometimes I find myself content with my body and though I'm motivated right now, I'm scared I'll lose that. I have depression/anxiety disorder so that can also really drain my motivation sometimes. Are there any tricks to staying motivated?

it comes and goes. You can't really rely on it. But the important thing is to start. Start walking the path, and you build momentum. You notice changes and get encouraged. You have moments of weakness, and get discouraged. But I think in order for a person to affect real meaningful, lasting change in their life, they need to be very uncomfortable with where they're at. Not just a little nitpicky over their flaws, but downright unhappy with it. Fed up and ready to fight for what they want. To abandon the lifestyle that led you to that place and finally stop allowing excuses for yourself.

Yeah I suppose you're right. That's how I let it get to this point, just haven't cared enough. I hope I don't stop caring again but I probably will. I've started keeping track of my food on cronometer though and so far that's motivating me a bit to actually see the amount of calories I'm eating and what I'm eating. On bad days I can look back on them in disgust and then make up for it.

I wish I had some fit friends to do things with, that would definitely help.

btw the algoryth they use has a big preference for reps over weight.
Like sometimes increasing 2 reps yields you a much bigger point increase than adding several kg's with the same amount of reps.
Also fuck it for not making your muscle blue when you hit the lower limit of intermediate, but instead making you go a bit over it to show it blue

On weight reduction for all of my training history, wonder how much better my gains will be when I stop cutting.

Funny thing is I can Pendlay row 80kg 4 times, but I struggle to bench 50 for 6 reps. Any idea why?

Stats: 5'8, 133.6 lbs, 6.6% BF

So I'm in day 11 of keto. For the first week I lost a large amount of body weight, but now my weight loss has completely stagnated. The scale has been the same for 5 days and so have BF fat measurements (caliper).
I am:
-Eating -1500 calories (inb4 starvation mode, metabolic adaptation only occurs during long periods of total caloric restriction and only slows metabolism by 30% worst case scenario). I use no oil for cooking and stick to the food labels, weighing foods when necessary. -Counting macros (75% fat, 20% protein, 5% or less carbs). -Lifting weights 3-4x a week, doing 40 min of cardio (including HIIT) every day. -Using RAD140, yohimbine, albuterol and 7-Keto

I would think recomp, but like I said, my BF% has stayed exactly the same. I can see no reason why.
