Got my year gym pass today, so I'm going to start doing this shit tomorrow. I've already been fixing my shit diet, so I guess this is the last(?) Step.

I just want to know what machines or dumbbell shit I should do just to acquaint myself with everything. (Im 6'4", BMI 30.4. I have, like, negative upper body strength, but my legs are at least decent, and my potbelly is what I really hate, if that helps any)

I've been lifting on and off for about the last four years and always run into the same problem:

I lift for about 6-8 weeks, doing my normal 3, 4x10ish routine, start to see results and then plateau. Then, after I plateau, I try to push through it and end up hurting myself somehow.

I've never been given a solid answer or been able to figure out what I'm supposed to do next. Do I then drop to reps of 5x5 or some variation of that, performing the same kind of lifts, or do I do completely different types of lifts in the same amount? (And what do I do after six weeks of that?)

It's really frustrating always getting to this point, and always straining something. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

So this pretty much says that either or is correct. You can switch the repetitions, and get away from hypertrophy, or switch the exercises completely.

If that's the case, then I should just focus on doing exercises that challenge those same muscle groups, but ones that I basically haven't done before?

What are some good snacks I can bring to the office that preferably have some good protein and calories (I haven't been able to meet my daily recs with less time).

Also, I only have time to work out *after* I get off, but if I take a preworkout, my sleep is fucked up. Anyone else know this? Should I just go no pre, or drink a half cup of coffee or something?

Greek yogurt works reasonably well as a creme / sour cream substitute for any success calling for those. I personally like reheating my chicken with a few spoonfuls of salsa and greek yogurt and putting the heated mixture over potatoes.

I came back to browse the board a bit since last week, I usually come a go from /fit/ every couple of years, and this never happened before.
Every single day there are multiple vegan shill threads, it wasn't even like this with "u mirin? tinycock.jpg", "first sip of the day", "tfw no korean g/f", etc. I don't even think it's some autistic fuck doing it, I am starting to believe there are actually people being paid to post this stuff.
In /pol/ it has been proven beyond any doubts that there were groups posting in there that were paid per post to shit up the board. I am thinking that maybe something similar could be going on here.
