I get that /fit/ generally scoffs at anything that isn't "clean," but what are some solid movie theater snacks? I recently found these at Target, they taste great, are really chewy, and a whole pack is only 250 calories.
Anyone have other suggestions?

hey /fit/

used to be pretty fat, joined the military, lost a fuckton of weight and started lifting. still making progress but moving next month. literally never cooked for myself. parents or military fed me my whole life. now im looking to have to prepare my own food. where can i find some really good (relatively simple) meal plans that will help me continue to lose weight?

What is your current weight and goal weight?
As far as cooking goes, just start simple. /ck/ is decent if you can handle the bantz, and pretty much everyone who's lived on their own has had to learn to cook so that's a plus. Just make every meal on your own and you'll get better. For techniques and some good recipes check out FoodWishes on youtube. If something sounds good, look up a recipe and follow the directions, it's really that simple. You won't be great at first, but within a couple months you'll have the techniques down and will be able to make multiple meals very well. Go buy a decent set of cookware and a bunch of different spices.
To help you get started, two easy meals that will help you lose weight are chili con carne and chicken, broccoli, and rice. You can find a million simple chili recipes online and /fit/ always has /crb/ threads for chicken. Good luck anon

I use to lift with the college power lifting team 4 years ago. I got stronger than I ever thought I could be. Then my parents were killed and I let depression mangle me. Long story short, where do I begin again?

Is it possible that whatever strength I gained is gone now completely? I like totally had stopped going to the gym. I would just do light cardio and body weight exercises to try and fend off lethargy and depression.

Basically, I am lost now. People say read the sticky and then other people say stuff like "the sticky can miss lead you into doing dumb shit like SS".

What is the truth? What is the right way to proceed?

I guess it's in the past now but I would be lying if I said i didn't feel vengeful.

Separate from that, I just don't know what I am supposed to be doing. I walk into the gym with no idea of a routine and just do exercises i find fun. Which seems awful to me.

I like the idea of a disciplined routine. However, I am not knowledgeable enough to tell a good routine from a bad one.

I'm a beginner/novice am 155 lbs. Are 30 lbs dumbbells enough or too much? I feel they are too heavy and on set two am already exhausted. And still have to look forward to squats, calves...

Hi anons, I just finished up my intermediate workout and I'm trying to go from /fit/ to /builtlikeahorse/ but I had a few questions

What apps do you guys use to track your sets/reps and how many calories your eating in a day?
Also what foods do you recommend that have a high calorie to nutrition/ protein ratio? I burn 3,000 just at rest without any exercise so getting all the calories I need to bulk can get expensive. Also this is probably a stupid question but can I get build abs while I'm bulking to build mass?

It's only drawback compared to Myfitnesspal is it lacks a quick-add calories/protons feature.
If you need to add calories but don't feel like going through the tedium of hacking an entire new meal every fucking time; just make a food with calories:1 and serving size:1, and set number of servings to however much calories you ate. Much easier.

FitNotes for tracking workouts sets:reps:weights in the gym.
