So /fit/, I started working out with some routine I got. Im Jack Skellington, currently.

In said routine (its a fullbody), I have to do Push-ups and dips, 3 sets of 10 reps for both.

Thing is, I got the idea to do 1 more each session. At 12 for each currently.

When I get to 20, Ill start doing a harder variation:

>With push-ups, I guess ill start doing diamonds, then decline, then decline diamonds, then uneven, and eventually one handed.

>With dips, I do them with my hands on a bench and my feet on the floor. I think ill move on to doing them with my feet at the same height as my hands, and then do them normally.

What will this lead to /fit/, will I get stronger, or build muscle at all from doing this?

Planing on doing the same thing with rows, wich I do 5x5.

Calisthenics are great but you gotta do hundreds of reps . You won't get very far with what you're doing . Pull-ups, chin-ups, push-ups , dips, crunches, squats, and dat good cardio is what you should be doing if you don't have a gym membership.

I went from >7000 calories + light exercise to
1500~2200 calories + moderate exercise

maybe throw this shit in a blender with a little milk and water and see if you can make a tasty shake out of it. if it's really thick, maybe you could freeze it and make a dessert or something. There is 2 reasons why your body breaks down muscle.
1. You do not have have any free amino acids in your system or useless protein that your body can salvage right now.
2. Your body requires an alternate energy source because your carbohydrate levels are depleted, but your current insulin levels are too high to dig into your fat reserve. (This happens when you calorie restrict while eating frequent meals).

>tl;dr no, morning fasted cardio won't cause you to lose muscle, it will actually help with fat loss.

my point is this is as big as wristlets can get their arms with peak performance, dieting, steroids and coaching and your armswill still look smaller than the average dude on the street. And the only thing lifting helps with when it comes to first impressions on girls is your arms unless you're topless.

How do you guys track your workouts?

My friend gave me his old Fitbit when I mentioned I was going to lose weight, and it helped me get started.

I'm replacing it with a Garmin 235 that should be able to track a lot more data, I'm pretty excited.

hi friends. so i've starting working out at home since i went Home Gymâ„¢, and i don't have a bench. and i'm sorta afraid i'll break my coffee table lol so i've been doing floor presses in lieu of bench presses.

what's the difference? which muscles aren't getting use that would be with bench? which muscles are doing more work, if any? pros and cons of floor press?
