sup /fit/, got mallet finger over the week on my left ring finger. gotta wear a fucking splint for 8 weeks and I'm worried it's gonna kill my gainz
going to focus on bodyweight workouts since I probably can't do heavy barbell/dumbbell work, what would you recommend? I'm particularly focused on my upper chest right now, and I'm worried that pushups will focus too much on my lower chest because of my anatomy (same reason I switched away from flat bench)
Can you do pushing exercises on the machines? maybe try to keep your ring finger out of the way?
>>42111840
I can try, I just hate machines and was hoping for good bw workouts
desu my pull day is probably going to be more affected, I should probably worry more about that. don't think I can even do pullups without a tight grip
Virtually all grip strength is from your middle and ring finger. Maybe do volume, focus on not using your fucked up finger, and get a job you lazy bum
Yes.
in every sense of the word yes

My knee feels a bit uncomfortable, like that feeling you get when you need to crack a finger. Even though I crack it and it feels a bit better, my knee goes back to that uncomfortable feeling. Has anyone else experienced this?

thank you science jesus
I can't sleep /fit/ what do?
I've had insomnia for years, probably since junior year of high school and im a senior in college now.
Got prescribed ambien but my essential oil toting, whole foods endorsing sister says it's a mistake to take it.
Anyone have experience with sleeping pills or anything that works to help you fall asleep?
I've tried chamomile tea, magnesium, melatonin 5-htp, gaba and just about anything natural under the sun and it's helped me sleep maybe 20-30m earlier but nothing that impressive.

>I can't sleep
If you tell me you're on the computer, TV or your phone right before bed I'll come over and punch you in the mouth so hard it'll turn your lights off for the rest of the night.
tl;dr. sage as well lol.

How do you get a physique like him?
Like, exercise regimen..

Just started two weeks ago. Already seen some progress.
Do you ever fuck up your macros and have a few hundred calories at the end of they day but you can't find anything that will meet the criteria so you just don't eat anything?
Never, but I do have an issue where I hit my macros perfectly and then go fuck it up an hour before I should be sleeping.
Fuck knows why I do this. It's almost as if I don't even care about getting "shredded as fuck breh".
I wonder what I'd look like if I actually stuck to my macros for 12-16 weeks straight, instead of fucking up and going over them every few days.

>I wonder what I'd look like if I actually stuck to my macros for 12-16 weeks straight, instead of fucking up and going over them every few days.
Me again, I know what I'd look like, because I've actually stuck to them for 8 weeks straight once, and I actually had abs for the first time in my life (despite lifting 6 years straight). If I actually kept on going for another 8 weeks I'd have been legitimately shredded instead of just lean.
I don't seem to have the motivation/discipline to get lean and stay lean. Lifting is the easy part, that doesn't even take motivation for me.
Sup /fit/
I've been taking pretty normal supplements and been putting on a lot of mass
Mass gainer, creatine, amino acids, and pre workout before every lift sess
I've hit about 200 pounds, really bulked up these past couple months
I want to start cutting, and I'm curious what kind of supplements I should get on?
I've heard test boosts are good, but that on top of every other supplement seems like it'd be damaging to my organs?
I hydrate more than enough, still curious if this is safe to go about doing though
>Russian twists
This shit upsets my stomach and I'm worried I might puke one day. Is it even worth it?
>>42111256
In Russia, weight twists you!
>tfw that amazing feeling when it cracks your back
>>42111256
so do a different oblique exercise lol wtf
Started first HIIT interval sprints today, light work but it was my first time getting into it hard for my summer. Rainy day but I finish my ladder and head home. About an hour before bed I decided to get my push-ups and crunches in, so I finish the push-ups and get to crunching. This shit here I knew would happen one day, so I'm mid-set when my right leg starts to give out, I'm using my nightstand as a foothold, and I'm saying fuck it and troop it out, yet lefty did not think so. Both fucking legs start giddying up for the survival show that's about to take place. I'm back to the floor in last stand mode crawling ass to bed each leg giving out while I'm sitting out with my pistol ready to get shot and teabagged by the stretch gods. Luckily I was able to drag ass to my gym bag and get my fitness band to mend to fucked hamstrings and recover. Moral of the story stretch more than you think you should.
Will hip thrusts make me better in bed and improve my aestheitcs?
>better in bed
Well any experience on top of 0 is an improvement
>>42111190
>better in bed
how do you think sex works that you need to train hip thrusts?
No but they'll make your ass look phenomenal.
Also if you want to get better in bed the only exercises I can think of are endurance-related. Do cardio and prolonged ab work (2+ minute planks)
I know that you guys are obsessed with "strength progress = muscle gain" theory. It is true. But I wanted to remind you guys that slow reps, aka time under tension, is not broscience. My chest blew up when I focused on time under tension and "feeling the muscle" stretch.
To those who have ears, let him hear my advice. It is anectodal, but does not make it a false.
Anyone with similar experiences where "broscience" that you used to disregard have helped you a bunch?
>not broscience
>anecdotal
Thought pic related and elliot hulse breathing balls was total bullshat. Turns out it helped me a lot. Makes sense if you think about it, oxygen supply method is crucial.

I don't claim it's scientific and works for everyone. It worked for me, and it might work for others. Anyone with descent scientific understanding knows that many of the research conducted are poorly controlled for the hypothesis they are testing. Ex) eeg test does not equal strength output.
