Back in Nov 2015 I was big fat sick of shit. Weighed well over 300 pounds. I was so fat I got disgusted looking at myself in the mirror.
I made 2 changes. I quit drinking soda and took up yoga. I managed to get all the way down to 250 pounds, and then through various injuries my weight would bounce all over the place between 260 to 280.
Then a gym opened up in the same shopping center as my yoga studio. Since getting fired a few months ago I've dedicated most of my time to hitting the gym.
All it took was some fucking effort on my end and I can see the changes already happening around me.
Now that I'm building muscle and losing fat, women are finally starting to look at me like a viable partner. Sure, the yoga makes me a straight faggot since there was no way I was going to get laid by any of the women there, but it helped me build up the confidence to waddle the fuck into that gym.
I'm going to keep lifting weights until I find a woman who makes me a sandwich whenever I say, "Make me a sammich woman!" And by sammich, I mean cheesecake.

I'm fasting today and was thinking about eating less than 1000 calories a day and fasting maybe 2 days of the week. I want to lose weight before I start working out regularly because I hate sweating when I'm fat. Once I lose a decent amount I'll start working out, but for now, does this sound good?

Meh. There is no real one size fit all.
It sounds good so long as you don't feel or see anything too weird.
The important thing with any long term program is to dare to adjust without deviating too far from the main course (think tax adjustment over 10 years, not bloody revolution every day).
I don't really believe in fasting myself for the simple reason that i seem to gain a lot more body fat after i eat anything (including leafies and water).
Don't be hungry, is how to fast, ie dont feel the physical pang of hunger, no matter what healthy way you use.

Hey guys, gonna join a gym for the first time, have some questions I would like to ask you.
So the problem is, I can only lift for the summertime, as then I have school and won't be able to go to a gym (dw, I'll still be working out, just at school instead of gym).
Am I allowed to buy a gym membership using cash for 2 months? I don't wanna deal with cancellation papers and everything that comes with using credit cards. Can someone help me out? If it helps the place I'm looking at is Blink Fitness

Apparently the problem lies in the fat of the milk, that's where all the bad stuff are according to what the health etc. Take it with a grain of salt and accept that maybe it's not that good for you, but if you do skimmed milk which is what; around 0.5%, it kind of decreases the problem.
How do you guys squat and not have knee pain? I have been unable to squat for weeks. knees are fucked and just feel weak. bodyweight squats cause pain. i fear that the more i dont squat the less my leg muscles become developed and the more my knee tendons will take over when lifting heavy.
