Should I go to bed even when I'm not tired? Here's my dilemma /fit/

>no set sleeping schedule
>cant fall asleep when I want to
>always wind up shitposting to pass the time

Lately though, I've been lying in bed in the dark even when I'm not tired and it seems to work well despite not falling asleep immediately. For example, I know I have to be up at 8:30 AM, so I'll go to bed at 12:30 AM but won't fall asleep until 3 AM or so. Sometimes I'll just lie in the dark, or if it's that unbearable listen to music or something. Is this good?

Force yourself onto a normal sleep schedule. Dont nap during the day, go to bed at the same time every night. Get up roughly same time every day. Should have a good sleep sched after like a week

Have tried forcing myself to. And I still do, but I still won't actually pass out until after a few hours, giving me 5 - 6 hours of sleep.
Granted it feels comfy as fuck to just lie in bed in the dark while awake so I keep doing it. But I still get under eight hours most nights.

I'm trying to work the muscles behind and beneath the armpit (teres minor, teres major, upper part of the latissimus dorsi)

Are overhand pulldowns and pull ups better or are underhand pulldowns and chin ups better for this area? Elbows tend to flare out more in overhand
I know there's not that much of a difference, but I'm curious

Whichever you feel more comfortable doing.
I mean personally I would go with overhan but keep grip shoulder width. I find with underhand grip its easier to fall "under" the bar and lean back, which moves more focus into the mid back.
Don't completely neglect the one you choose not to do though.

Anyone else swimming this Summer?

I've been following http://ruthkazez.com/swimming/ZeroTo1mile.html. I'm a decent enough swimmer from childhood but currently trying to rise above neet-tier cardiovascular fitness. On the third week right now and it's a lot of fun.

Problem is, every day when I start swimming, I feel deeply uncomfortable and panicky for the first time I go >100m. When my head is below water I feel like I'm drowning. I breath every 2nd stroke a lot like I'm exhausted even though I just started swimming . If I push through it and keep going, after a while I feel comfortable and this feeling goes away and I can swim for a long time. But the difficult beginning is a little annoying and makes the whole session less enjoyable. Are there any warm up breathing exercises I can do to stop this?

Otherwise, swimming general.

My lift meals aren't really mouth watering because I do low-fat-high-carb on lift days.
tiny jungle bananas, rice, asian grilled chicken breast + spicy dipping sauce.

Rest days are high-fat-low-carb, so I have some pretty nice options. Tomorrow marinated, grilled pork skin/belly, asian bbq chicken, quail eggs, green salad

Why would anyone pay to go to the gym when you can exercise for free? The only time a gym is useful is either when it's raining outside, or in a hospital (trying to get strength back), and those cases seem so fringe it's not even worth considering

Tried it for the first time tonight, and holy fuck, are my legs burning. Only managed to finish 12 sets before I collapsed and spewed on myself.

I think it's my new favourite training method for leg days.

Been going to the gym and doing stretches for the past 7 months, and so far its going just fine. Use to be tubby, but managed to flatten myself real nice like, but I got a bit of an issue. I don't know how to make my ass smaller then it is now, its too fucking big and bubbly. I've been mistaken as a chic from behind and have been spanked, grinded and groped. I was taking Epimedium (from Amazon) with a bunch of other stuff in it, and was having like 24hr chubs (but really felt stimulated all over, basically).
