I just ordered a bottle of L-Theanine, in hopes that the reports of it's combination with caffeine can help with my struggles in focus and energy. I've tried everything up until this point; a strict sleep schedule allowing me 8 hours of sleep, I've always had a good healthy diet, and for the past month I've been going to the gym Monday through Friday, not missing a single day. And while I definitely feel a lot better doing all this, I'm still struggling to find energy in the later half of the day to do the things I'm passionate about.

tl;dr experiences with L-Theanine and caffeine?

the stack is actually for people with anxiety (anxiety makes you unfocused and with severe brain fog). so, while l-theanine and caffeine together WILL help anyone, in your case you should aim to eventually just fix the cause of the lethargy.

take those every day and take the coffee + l-theanine stack when you need it. best scenario would be eventually no longer needing the stack.

it is the healthiest nootropic stack there is, so it is mostly fine, though.

If you are doing low weight high reps (above 15). You are a waste of space. Either go home or lift heavier. You are robbing people of their gains.

I did chest and triceps yesterday, but today I did shoulders and I was doing reverse flys and ended up with more soreness in my tricpes, is this bad for my muscles?

I've been working a lot of strange shifts recently covering from a colleague. He's on call 24/7 and I had to attend a bunch of shit that went wrong.

As a result, my sleeping pattern is absolutely shattered. I've been grabbing an hour here, two hours there. How do I fix it now he's back? I'd like to have great sleep hygeine again, preferably 8 hours in the evening for my gains.

I was over at a frieds house once and a guy stopped over that is quite a meathead.

He stopped over to grab a vial of test from a buddy of mine. My buddy just joking around said if you inject the whole thing right now I will give it to you for free.

So he went ahead and filled 3 syringes to the hilt and injected it all. I dont recall whether it was enathate or prop, however does it even really matter.

Needless to say that guy was sick as a dog for close to a week. Extreme sickness for a couple days.

Bottom line, dont be a dumb ass.

Hi /fit. Im a 19 year old dude who recently has taken his life back into his own hands, and in the span of 2 months, have lost nearly 30 pounds, from being over 300, to 277. Im pushing myself harder and harder each day, but i worry that when i go back to college, i will struggle immensely with the shift and easy access to crap food. Any tips to help?

Make a google calendar and fill in when your classes and meal times are. Next - allow ~45min per class for homework time each day (it doesn't need to be back to back). Whatever other free time you have go to the gym. Do not ever go more than the allotted time and not switch tasks in order to get you into a routine. I extracted caffine from dollar store tea packets and made them into pills to help me stay awake.

Hey anon,

Last week I hit 1/2/3/4. Natty. Rest of my gym team has gone pro model or pro card bodybuilding.

Today went to the gym, could not even bench 35lb x 20. Had to drop down to 25 lb and I could barely do 5 reps per set. No tears or damage, I didn't even feel anything, there is not even post-workout swelling in the pec.

Feeling like I'm not going to make it. Any ideas on what this could be ? Going to a sport physio tomorrow.

if i just want to do high bar squat for bigger legs not just lifting more is it better to use flat shoes or oly shoes?

But, yeah, if you "target" your quads more, oly shoes yield more benefit, generally.

>pass the entire year playing video games and overeating, still doing MMA and weights tho, so I only gained like 3 kilos (6lb)

Time to settle this once and for all, pic related is an excerpt from Practical Programming for Strength Training (Rip's book).
He shows a diet example for someone who is basically auschwitz mode and one for a fat person. I can't see this "shitty diet advice" everyone on fit is talking about, looks pretty well balanced to me.

I wanna try this but looking at just the first day he has 4 different types of bench pressing going on for like, 4 sets each, I don't know how I'm gonna do it.

When I usually lift, I go for a weight I can only do 10 reps for in a set. I get through 3-5 sets and on my 4th or 5th I can barely get to the 5th rep.

Too many red flags for me. Although his routine is basically my old chest/tri day with the added cardio between sets. For me, this routine is too cluttered, but give it a shot if you want to try it. Maybe, drop the number of sets or drop one of the bench pressing exercises if you think it's too much. Better yet, try it first, and then you'll know what you're capable of.

Also this got me wondering..
