Fairly new to getting fit, I am upping all my lifts consistently, eating a lot of protein after every workout, etc. But I need help here lads. I have a couple questions.
1. Planks: I do two 1-minute planks with a 45lb plate on my lower back; doing this exercise I don't feel my abs ripping at all, I only feel my biceps feeling sore during the exercise. I do them exactly as portrayed in pic related. Is this normal? When I was less fit, years ago, I would feel ripping in my abs when I did planks without additional weight. Advice?
2. What do you think of the ab exercises I do?

Planks are pretty shit. Just an isometric hold.
Do side planks and bring your knee to your elbow.
Get an ab wheel, they are great.
but the best by far is kneeling cable crunches in the gym. You will feel that in your abs more than any other exercise if you do it right (keep arms locked in position, don't pull the cable with your arms.)
planks are only good if you do them with a long lever. the progression is to ab rollouts. ab rollouts are the best ab exercise and has near limitless progression.
Hey /fit/, I need some legal help with my gym.
I'm from the UK and I joined this gym called anytime fitness, it's a pretty good place, but with work I find I can get there less and have been working out more at home with some equipment I bought. I went there to quit but now they're telling me I gotta pay fucking 370 pounds as a fee because it was in the "contract" I signed. I asked them to freeze my account for three months so now I'm wondering if after that I should just be dead silent if they try to contact me, lucky thing is I didn't give them my proper bank details and have had to pay cash for the few months I was there so I doubt there's anything they could do. Though will doing this just make it escalate into something worse or will they just give up and terminate my account? They did say there wouldn't be a fee if I told them I was moving to a different area but how exactly do I go about this?

Even sedentary person gains 25% muscle per pound of body weight gained. This is why fat as fatasses squat like 2pl8 their first day in the gym.
I'm trying to bulk up at 140 pounds, but I only eat three meals a day. So I load up on food (mostly carbs and proteins) for lunch and dinner but my tummy hurts afterward and I feel a little bloated. No it's not.
You can maintain quality of intensity much better with 30s bouts than 60s bouts. After 30-40 seconds, most people will be drastically slowed by lactic acid accumulation and be forced to slog the last 20-30 seconds.

You need to learn to deadlift, squat, overhead press, bench press, weighted dips, weighted chin ups, and heavy ass dumbbell rows.
The only shoulder exercises I do are OHP, Lateral Raises, Facepulls and Dumbell Press. Those types of rows can possible lead to injury if done wrong.
