the trick to having a t shirt that makes you look built and strong is not whether it is baggy or tight.

your t shirts and collared shirts need to begin their sleeves at where your arm starts.

if the sleeve begins above your upper arm, as in the middle of your shoulder, the shirt will look too small, even if it's loose or baggy, and vice versa. if the shirt is tight, but the sleeve is sewn in for a broader shouldered model, you will look small and awkward.

my favorite tees, no matter how loose or tight, just line up for me at the shoulders.

not gonna lie, target graphic tees are GOAT.

/fit/ how do you deal with your shin splints? Keep in mind that I still have to run so I can't really stop and let them heal

If you can switch between high impact cardio (jogging, sprints) and low impact (stationary bike, elliptical) until you're no longer feeling pain. You probably have poor form as well, so read up on that and critique yourself until you find a stride that works for you.

why is it that dumbbells are generally sold fixed whereas barbells are plate loaded? am I missing something here because buying handles + extra plates seems far cheaper and yet gyms almost always have fixed DBs

Have you seen the absolute mess of barbell plates in the average gym? That shit would be 50 times worse for dumbbells.

For a home gym plate loaded is the cheapest option though.

How cure my self-esteem /fit/. I am done when I see bigger losers than me that dates girls. Everything is fine with me except being fine with my non existing accomplishments. People disrespect me because of that and I feel shit with it. Help me /fit/ I can only trust you.

If you want to start making accomplishments, you just have to set goals for yourself and follow them consistently.

It sounds to me like you have to make career goals. I went from cleaning toilets at a hotel and making $9 an hour to working at Visa as a software engineer in under a year. Now I'm being interviewed at Amazon.

Get a little notebook specifically for this purpose and work on it daily.

I third time dropout from college, with no money, I am fat. I have some goals like being ripped, do a bussiness, invest money I earn, finish this got damn college but I feel shit about my loser past. Sometimes I get meltdowns over it when something goes not in my mind. I can talk freely with anyone I work full time sales but when I have to talk about my accomplishments or about myself it is drop my confidence greatly. Also I am scared of being more serious with girls or cold approach them.

Intending on getting a security guard certificate, so I want to take some additional self-defense classes aside from the main course. What do you guys think is ideal?

What do other security guards in your area take? I can imagine that grappling arts would be suitable for handling a problem without beating the face in of the "problem." Judo would be a good choice, along with wrestling and BJJ.

Hey /fit/

I have a big problem with my squatting form.
Today I realised that my right leg is pushing more while squatting and that I look really asymetrical in the mirror from in front of me. I didn't really figured out why though. I thern deloaded 10% and nothing changed at my form.
Then I checked how I look from the side so I turned 90 degree to see myself in the mirror and saw that the bar is like pic related. I always did squat like this and my back is always hurting a little bit after it. I think I do know why...

How do I fix this, I cant see it upfront and I cant always turn to the side. Having the bar right felt extremely weird and without seeing myself from the side I could only guess if it is straight or not.

Been lifting for a year now (18 y.o.) and I have the fucking problem of having a wide pelvis bone. What exercises should i do to look better and making my hips look smaller? Do you know any type of surgery or treatment? I swear I would do anything to get rid of them.Does anyone have the same problem? I'm scared of not beeing able to look aesthetic in my life:/

I'm in the middle of week five right now.
I went from 166lbs to 161lbs so far. I can't see a physical difference in the mirror, but I do feel better. Checked out my BMI at the gym which is a paid service for some stupid reason. Looks like I had went from a 23% to a 20.1%.

Crossing my fingers I don't fuck this up and I can drop down to about 15% bmi before I can try my hand at bulking for the first time.

Honestly, after reading everything and watching hours of videos I still feel like I'm clueless and doing everything wrong. In a few months when I start to remember all of the names of the workouts/actions and acronyms it might get better though.

I feel like I'm finally "going to make it." Having lifted for nearly 7 months I am far stronger, have a smaller gut, fit clothes I used to not fit, and am having defined muscles. While I am struggling with completing my degree I feel the confidence building that I will.

I do have anxiety relating to dating women. I used to be so down about this, but I'm now at a point where I think if I can just keep it together, keep working out, that ill make it. I got some advice last time about looking in to speed-dating to help me get over approach anxiety. Unfortunately not in my town. Any advice here would be appreciated.

If any of the people who replied last month see this: I haven't seen the redhead gym girl in a couple weeks now. Don't know what happened to her.
