I do dumpster diving as a hobby so I eat a lot of garbage. My best score was 50 tubs of protein powder that had all expired one day ago. It was still perfectly fine so I got 2k of protein free. Only half way through it now and it's still holding up good.
Grossest would probably be edible grasshoppers and bamboo worms I found in a hobbyist place dumpster. About 20 or so packets. Ate them all and they were surprising good and were a great source of protein. Most of them were flavored.

What's the best type of exercise of mental health? I already do oly lifting but I don't think it's sustained enough to provide much benefit.
Personally i would say bodybuilding, ive never actually seen the stats, but from what ive felt myself, itnseems like the time under tension an muscle damage that bodybuilding style training does provides by far thenlargest amount of serotonine, etc. After a good long bb session where i getna huge pump, i feel mentally way better than afger cardio or strength training.
Learning a new language, meditating and staying away from mind altering substances = maximum mental health gains.

in order to progress with bw exercises you need to go from easier to harder variations of the given exercises check out the bw reddit and the recommended routine its pretty good
and for losing weight its just your diet and for growing muscles its still mostly diet + muscle stimulation. so as long as you are hitting your muscles all you need to do is to eat a calorie surplus

For example, some protein has 100calories in. But, to be used as energy it has to be tranformed by gluconeogenesis which requires energy. So how much of that 100 theoretical calories are actually usable by the body as energy?
