Anyone here /loverunning/ and is ectomorph? Wtf do I do?

5'6, started at 130lb but after a year I'm sitting at 150lb. Not sure if killer beginner gains or if it's just all fat. Even though there is noticeable definition, I'd still consider myself skinnyfat.

How do you guys cope with this?

/loverunning/ all you want, it has its benefits, but it's not how you lose fat and gain mass.

Lifting heavy and eating right is the only sure way to see results. For us skinnyfats, gotta regulate the carbs in our diet, especially sugar. Get those hormones back in balance and reduce insulin resistance. Without this, any other attempts at fitness will be hindered

Everybody who lifts weights regularly that cuts down to a athletic level of body-fat has a solid chance of looking aesthetic.

Aren't these guys competing in a certain weight class? So that means they'd have to of cut down (or at least been maintaining weight) for competitive requirements.

The average power-lifter in the gym who doesn't compete for the most part doesn't stay at an athlete body-fat, they stay at a high body-fat because it's easier to not worry about diet.

I made a thread like this a while ago, but how many people on /fit/ work out with the goal of being a pro athlete/ SF operator/ record holder?

I wanna join my country's SF so I do shitloads of cardio and can now do some respectable lifts but mostly just run a lot. They gave me a schedule to follow which has me working out a couple times a day which isn't so bad I guess. My number one fear is that I'll put way too much time into working out then not get SF and end up having missed my teens and twenties working for no pay off. Anyone else /aspiring pro athlete feels/?

It takes 3500 calories to gain a pound. Carbs and protein are 4 calories per gram, so 875 grams of either would be required to gain a pound of body mass. 875g is about 1.93lb.

Fat on the other hand, is about 9 calories per gram. Which means you'd need to consume around 389g of fat to gain 1 pound of body mass. 389g is around 0.858 pounds.

That's assuming you're eating/drinking pure fat, like >>42363413 said with oil, or tallow.

Taco Bell is good when it's good but the fucking abject retards who make the food manage to fuck it up 95% of the time, to the point where I don't usually bother going anymore

5-layer burritos would be the perfect bulking food but they always end up being half-full of a pure sour cream moneyshot and little of the other ingredients.
